ON ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF QUARANTINE, MUSICIANS REFLECT ON CREATIVITY IN SOLITUDE AND ARE PHOTOGRAPHED AND INTERVIEWED BY CLAIRE MARIE VOGEL

Today, Reflective Refuge, the artist collective founded by Mallory Lemieux and Claire Marie Vogel, announce their inaugural collaboration, Vogel’s “ARTISTS IN ISOLATION,” an interactive online photo gallery which will launch on March 18th at 9:00am ET with reception events at 8:00pm ET [www.aii.reflectiverefuge.com].

Over the last year, Claire Marie Vogel, director and photographer (Metallica, Norah Jones, My Chemical Romance, Courtney Barnett) photographed and interviewed 31 artists including Allen Stone, Silversun Pickups, Speedy Ortiz, Bedouine, and The Regrettes (full list below) about how they are dealing with isolation and its effect on creativity. With photos shot over FaceTime and interviews conducted via text, musicians ranging from established to DIY share a behind-the-scenes look at how the pandemic has impacted being an artist over the past year.
