Critical praise for Superorganism:
"the most refreshing sound of the year.”
NPR
“The debut from the UK collective is a hugely accomplished reflection of the present, a magpie-friendly collage of pop all glued together by the laconic voice of Orono Noguchi.”
PITCHFORK
“There is seriousness of purpose in the music, but what elevates Superorganism beyond sound experiment is the lead singer and lyricist, Orono, who writes arresting offhand verses that convey brutal depths in an unerringly sweet tone.”
NEW YORK TIMES
“Some of the most warped, exciting indie-pop of recent years has spilled from the East London commune housing most of Superorganism’s eight members...a mix of synthetic and organic, funny, weird, internet-fueled, self-aware and very tripped-out.”
ROLLING STONE
“Goopy, cartoonish indie pop, the kind of colorful songs that grip campus spring weekends and frontal lobes.”
THE NEW YORKER
“The group combined esoteric sound design, peculiar lyrics, and incredibly catchy melodies to create 2018’s most unique release, one that will fascinate producers for years to come.”
