Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano is preparing to join forces with the internationally renowned Colombian-American musician Kali Uchis for her Isolation North American Tour beginning next week. In anticipation, today he shares a new chamber arrangement version of “Golden Wings”, a track off his critically acclaimed debut album Jardín. About the new track, Gabriel comments: “Sly5thAve and I made this arrangement with the ‘Curtis' album in mind. I was specifically after the feeling of longing and wanting to weep when I hear the chamber orchestra on 'Other Side of Town.' We listened to Curtis and Leon Ware’s ‘Musical Massage’ before starting to figure out how to paint the hooks and treat the song. The instrumentation is tuba, bass clarinet, French horn, cello, viola, violin 2, and violin 1.”

As the main supporting act for the upcoming tour, Gabriel will be performing tracks from his debut LP with his new band. Jardín was dubbed one of the “Best Albums of 2017”  by Billboard and Okayplayer and received accolades from the likes of Pitchfork, NPR,Entertainment Weekly. It also provided Gabriel the opportunity to perform on NPR’sTiny Desk shortly after its release.

The Isolation tour begins on September 12th and will be coming through cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta, and many more. Tickets are available here, and you can check out a full date listing below.
