“It’s a raw and menacing immolation…a ‘warning siren’ guitar line that sears the mind…exclaimed to wailing vocal power, and quite topical lyric phases.”
– The Big Takeover

“Sharkmuffin are either the most glam garage band around, or the grungiest glam band around.” – NPR

“…new punks with old school sensibilities…this is a vicious band with plenty of teeth.” –Consequence of Sound

“Brooklyn’s Sharkmuffin play scuzzy, ornery glam-rock with a strut – think T. Rex by way of Hole, or perhaps a more acrid Sweet.” CLYVYNT

Brooklyn DIY duo Sharkmuffin is claiming the sci-fi world’s premiere skeptic as one of their own in “Scully is a Sharkmuffin”.  The track makes its debut today via The Big Takeover. Explains the band:

“’Scully is a Sharkmuffin’ is our ode to The X-Files. It’s the only track on Tsuki that is mostly improvised and was recorded live. The lyrics are taken from The X-Files opening theme: ‘The truth is out there. I want to believe. The government lies.’”

Tsuki will be released on May 5 via Little Dickman Records. Check out Sharkmuffin’s upcoming tour dates, including an album release spectacular with Alexander F, Weeping Icon, Sic Tic and Pink Mexico, below.
