LOS ANGELES, CA - Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - Pixies - Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and newest member Paz Lenchantin - will kick off their 2017 North American tour with a special appearance on "Conan" set for Thursday, April 27.  "Conan" airs on TBS at 11PM/10PM central.

"We're all big fans of Conan," said Pixies Joey Santiago, "so we're all really looking forward to being on his show when we're starting our home-turf dates."

On the show, the band will perform their new track "Bel Espirit," singled out by a number of critics as "sounding like classic Pixies."  The track, from the band's sophomore reunion album Head Carrier (PIAS), features Santiago's cool, churning guitar, Loverings's powerhouse drumming, and Black Francis and Lenchantin trading lines in a sweeping duet.  "Bel Espirit" just went to radio and is already on the playlists of major Alternative and Triple-A stations across the country.

Pixies' North American tour follows the band's trek to Japan, Australia and New Zealand that included their first-ever concerts in South Africa.  Pixies will kick off the North American Leg One on Friday, April 21 at the Fox Theatre in Pomona.  Public Access TV* and Cymbals Eat Guitars** will split the support slot over the course of the 25-date Leg One.
