“One of the most epic musical journeys ever committed to tape” 10* - DROWNED IN SOUND
“The best band in the whole damn land” releases the definitive version of their seminal double concept album digitally today, and not a minute too soon.
With rejuvenated artwork, an homage to the Texas-based graphics design studio Pen & Pixel, The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads will be available on double red and blue colored vinyl and 2CD crucifix packaging on February 17, 2017. It will also be available as a deluxe 4-piece vinyl box set with foil blocking, limited to 1000 copies on March 3, 2017.
The box set includes the original and new mix of the album, the first EP (available for the first time on vinyl), the legendary 2001 Peel session (previously unreleased) as well as a large format photo and lyric book and a digital copy of all the audio.
The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is Rough Trade’s Album of the Month in February.

In 2016, fresh from their reunion at the Royal Festival Hall, as part of Guy Garvey’s Meltdown festival, the band returned to the original Texas studio - The Echo Lab in Denton County - where their one and only album release was recorded 15 years previously and created a new mix of the album with engineer Matt Pence.
Josh T. Pearson explains, “We went back to the studio, neck deep in the heart of Texas, where Lift recorded The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads - remixing the album the way it should have been mixed originally. It's good to have our balls back after years spent being castrated.”
Lift To Experience formed in Denton, Texas, at the end of the last millennium by Josh T. Pearson, Andy Reginald Young and Josh 'Bear' Browning. Their rise was fast and their reign was short. Following the release of their long-form masterpiece, the band imploded at the peak of their career due to a series of cruel tragedies. In this short time, however, Lift To Experience achieved high critical acclaim and were so beloved by John Peel that he invited them to record three Peel sessions in just five months, and the band were included in the Best 125 Peel Sessions of all time.
