Release New Video for “She’s Killed Hundreds”
"Wussy's ragged Ohio racket hits biblical proportions on 'Forever Sounds.'"
- SPIN (Album of the Week - 8/10)
“A swaggering, bleary, distorted churn topped off by another virtuoso vocal duet”
- Stereogum
“Swirling, psych-rock riffs that expand outward seemingly without end”
- A.V. Club
Heralded by critics for both their songwriting and varied sonic palette, Cincinnati nativesWussy release their sixth full-length studio album Forever Sounds today. Dubbed bySPIN as “their most challenging and densely textured to date”, the new album finds Wussy crafting raw and melodic material, exploring such themes as hauntings, false prophets, aliens, and The Big Lebowski all blanketed inside layers of noise. Following a full album stream on Noisey, the anticipated album is now widely available via Shake It / Damnably (UK). Wussy will be celebrating the release of their album with a show at Webster Hall tonight. Rounding out a monumental week for the band, their mysterious video for track “She’s Killed Hundreds” premiered today on A.V. Club.
Following critical acclaim on past albums from the likes of Pitchfork and SPIN, Wussy (made up of Chuck Cleaver, Lisa Walker, Mark Messerly, Joe Klug, and John Erhardt) returned to the recording studio for Forever Sounds with new vigor. The album blends Wussy’s pop sensibility with sound reminiscent of the band’s noise heavy live shows, which you can experience by catching Wussy on their nation-wide tour happening now.
Forever Sounds is full of themes of hope, determination, heartbreak, deception, aliens, the supernatural, the everyday, friendship, love, and second chances. Mixing Wussy’s dynamic and signature sound with new inspiration, it is sure to please both critics and fans alike.
