NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
June Run Includes Central Park SummerStage, NXNE,
International Festival of Arts & Ideas And World Café Live
"It’s tough to tear your eyes from the live performance.” – Noisey
"There is a remarkable power to what they do” - KCRW
“Ibeyi was mesmerizing” – Austin Chronicle
“But truly, there’s no way to really pin down just how incredible Lisa and Naomi sound together… the crowd moved to the beat in complete surrender” - KEXP
After selling out their first North American tour in April, Ibeyi has announced they’ll return this fall for a tour that includes over ten shows across North America (full list of dates below). Before the duo return in September, they’ll stop over for a quick run of dates in June including NXNE on June 17, SummerStage on June 20, International Festival of Arts & Ideas on June 21 and World Café Live on June 22.
Praised for a live performance that combines a mixture of ancient and modern music, Ibeyi’s show is “an immersion; it was passionate, and pure and gripping in all the ways you never expect music to be anymore” ravedOC Weekly. Meanwhile, The New York Times complimented in their live review of Ibeyi: “the bare-bone arrangements were all they needed; their vocal harmonies, accompanied or barely so, were beacons of sharing and solidarity.”
While last in New York, Ibeyi made their morning television debut on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live with a performance of their single “River.” That performance was on the heels of the release of their eponymous, critically acclaimed debut album, which is out now on XL Recording. If you have not checked out Ibeyiyet NPR’s Weekend Edition Sunday piece on the girls is absolutely breathtaking and gives you an insight into the rarity of Ibeyi’s talent. Most recently the girls released a remix of their single “River” by RLR you can listen tohere. Ibeyi are currently on tour now overseas playing the summer festival circuit in between headline shows throughout Europe.
