As previously reported, Austin Psych Fest is getting its very own Canadian spinoff this spring with Levitation Vancouver, and now the festival has officially announced the full lineup for its inaugural edition, which will run from June 5 to 7.
Performers include The Warlocks, Atlas Sound, Black Lips, Witch, Dead Moon (performing a reunion show), Shigeto, the Black Angels, King Tuff, Tobacco, La Luz, Night Beats, Joel Gion (of Brian Jonestown Massacre), Blackbird Blackbird, Jonathan Toubin's Soul Clap & Dance Off, Rose Windows, Curtis Harding, Elephant Stone, the Shrine, Amen Dunes, and Willie Thrasher & Linda Saddleback, among others.
There are also some psych-inclined local acts like the recently absent Black Mountain, Black Wizard, Dada Plan, Three Wolf Moon and Dead Ghosts.
Many of the headliners will perform during the daytime at the Malkin Bowl, while other acts will appear during nighttime gigs at local venues like the Rickshaw Theatre, Electric Owl, the Imperial, and the Cobalt. These club showcases will emphasize specific sub-genres of psych.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday (March 13) at 10 a.m. local time. Festival All Access Passes will cost $135, and once those sell out, Weekend All Access Passes will go on sale for $150. There are also passes just for the Malkin Bowl shows, which cost $135 and are all-ages. Single day passes and individual show tickets will be available closer to the date of the event.
More specific ticketing details are available here.
