JESSICA HOPPER ANNOUNCES BOOK TOUR DATES
TOUR IN SUPPORT OF THE FIRST COLLECTION OF CRITICISM BY A LIVING FEMALE ROCK CRITIC THIS MAY
Jessica Hopper, a staple of the contemporary music scene and culture critic, has announced tour dates in support of her highly anticipated essay collection The First Collection of Criticism by A Living Female Rock Critic, due out May 12th via Chicago's Featherproof Books. The ten city tour will encompass readings as well as conversations with other writers and critics - full tour dates below.
Spanning decades, Hopper's work has been showcased through the most prestigious outlets in categories ranging from fashion, music and politics, from her early days at Punk Planet to her landmark piece on R. Kelly in 2013 in the Village Voice. Currently acting as a senior editor at Pitchfork, Hopper has previously contributed to GQ, Rolling Stone, Rookie and the Chicago Tribune. The First Collection presents a history of music through Hopper's eyes and experiences, rediscovering her past reviews, essays, interviews and life journeys to show the beauty and wonder of the musically obsessed, as well as starting a conversation behind the politics of the industry.
