Electro-pop singer-songwriter & producer extraordinaire Nanna Øland Fabricius, better known as Oh Land, unveiled the CSS Remix of her critically acclaimed track “Head Up High” on Flavorwire. The track, originally released as a single in support of her album,Earth Sick , is slated for a series of highly anticipated remixes which get a pink vinyl treatment on Feb. 17th. The CSS Remix offers a fresh perspective on Oh Land’ssoundscape of lush vocals, electronic sound, and infectious melodies. The result is an irresistibly catchy electro-pop track that effortlessly compliments the previously released remix by MS MR in January, 2015.
“I always find it fun to hear what other artists might do with my music,” Fabricius tells Flavorwire. “So, I asked a couple of artists that I really admire, and I happened to love what came out of it so I think the world should hear it.”
Earth Sick, Oh Land's fourth studio album, marks a return to the roots that launched her music career; writing, recording and producing everything herself at home, with the help of her closest friends, family, and talents. Recorded primarily in her Brooklyn, New York apartment, Earth Sick is a hybrid of symphonic and electronic sounds, masterfully woven together. Released in November 2014, the album has since been recognized as one of her most compelling works to date.
