DAFT PUNK WINS 5 GRAMMY AWARDS INCLUDING ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Daft Punk's critically acclaimed Random Access Memorieshas won 5 Grammy Awards, including the coveted top honor Album of the Year.The album won in every category for which it was nominated, including Album of the YearRecord of the Year ("Get Lucky")Best Pop Duo/Group Performance ("Get Lucky")Best Dance/Electronica Album, and Best Engineered Album. The five awards makes for a career total of seven Grammy wins for Daft Punk, adding to their 2009 wins for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recoding for Alive 2007. For the highly anticipated debut live performance of "Get Lucky" on the award show's telecast (their second TV performance ever and first in six years), the duo invited surprise guest Stevie Wonder
to perform alongside album collaborators Pharrell Williams and Nile Rogers, who shared in two of the five Grammy wins. 

The awards cap off an incredible year, in which album single "Get Lucky" was named #1 song of the year by Rolling Stone (after having sold over 7 million digital downloads, going 3X platinum in the US) and 1,000,000 first week album sales earned the duo their first official #1 album in several countries including the USUKFrance and many more.  Selling over 3,000,000 copies to date World Wide, the album appeared on numerous year end album lists, having already garnered universal critical acclaim, including prominent features in Rolling StoneThe New York TimesThe New YorkerPitchforkThe Wall Street JournalGQTimeBillboard, and Vogue, amongst others. 

Random Access Memories was recently issued in a deluxe box set version, strictly limited to 2500 copies worldwide. Each clothbound box contains the album on two 180 gram LPs, a totally unique 70mm film strip of five sequential frames of footage from the "Lose Yourself To Dance" video, a bonus 10" containing an extended version of the interview with electronic music visionary Giorgio Moroder that forms the backbone of album track "Giorgio by Moroder", two USB drives with high resolution audio and video of the album, and more.
