* L'ark no.8 - Autumn *
*Dear ones aboard,
I hope this finds you well and that the Autumn has carried goodness to you so far. Roll on the leaves!
Across the water....'Notes from the Treehouse' has been released for the first time in the U.S this month. I hope you enjoy these older songs for the first time overseas! To help celebrate and piece together something new with something older, with the helping hands of Creative Allies, you were invited to re-imagine a new album cover for 'Notes from the Treehouse' and today we announce the winner - - Evalie Wagner! Evalie's design will grace the screen while you listen and I take my hat off to her for her beautiful work. - click through on the mystery image below to see it in its full glory on iTunes!

Thanks again to Spotify for being a great partner in this contest, and providing these talented artists with exclusive music to inspire them. I also want to thank you (from high rooftops) for sending in such a stunning variety of covers...it was a lengthy and difficult process to leaf through them all to choose a winner when the standard was set so high! I hope you had fun working away at your desks or on the go. What a gifted group you are.
Closer to home....Thank you very much for coming out to this Summer's festivals. It was good fun to meet you out in the sticks and play songs old and new. I look forward to these lined up on the horizon . . .

Here are some recommendations for other bits and pieces:
For Reading:
If you are not already familiar with Dave Hill I recommend you hop over HERE. I first met Dave a few years ago and have been following his work ever since - - he is unlike anyone and brings light! Dave is a brilliant comedy performer, writer and musician hailing from Cleveland and now based in New York. He will be crossing the ocean for London next month to celebrate the launch of his splendid book 'Tasteful Nudes' and bringing his own mix of comedy, music and tales to Leicester Square Theatre on October 12th and 13th and Deansway's on October 23rd. Tickets are available HERE. The shows will be great fun! Be sure to pick up a copy of his brilliant book from October 24th!

Sweet, sour, chewy, tangy, soft, hard, round, flat, short or long, all of your childhood sweets are at hand at Käramell, on the colourful, lively rue des Martyrs in Paris. I popped in last week while visiting family and was astounded at the selection of treats lined up amongst swedish jams, birthday cards, fine socks and footwear. There is something for all and all ages! 15 Rue des Martyrs75009 Paristel: 01.53.21.91.77http://www.
I'm now tying together the final pieces of the new album and very much look forward to sharing it with you in the Spring. Thank you very much for being aboard!
Keep well! Alessi
