Featuring a new song + cover from each band, it's a testament to the kind of bonds that can only be forged on the road.  The four tracks capture the infectious energy and camaraderie that sparked when the two bands first toured together last August. What started as a chance meeting quickly became a fast bond—one that saw them sharing stages, sing-alongs, and ultimately, songs. The tour actually culminated in an unforgettable moment in Newport, KY, where they packed the stage during Teens in Trouble’s set for a rowdy cover of Lit's "My Own Worst Enemy"—a fitting anthem for their newfound camaraderie. A split EP is generally the natural next step for bands who bond on the road like Teens in Trouble and Bat Boy did but rather than recording their sides separately, they spent a week together at District Recording in San Jose, CA—where both had previously made their debut LPs (What’s Mine and Fun Machine, respectively). The split features each band contributing a brand-new original song inspired by their time on tour, plus a cover of each other’s tracks. Of course, their former tour mates in The Dreaded Laramie make a guest appearance, too. More than just a collaborative release, the split is a snapshot of the friendships that can only come from the long drives, green rooms, and late-night hangs that make up life on tour. JÁNA by Sofia Aedo Zahou “When Time Flies” LISTEN/WATCH: https://linktr.ee/jana.andren  (May 1, 2025) - Today, singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist JÁNA shares her new song "When Time Flies." The new offering is a bittersweet reflection on a relationship marked by nostalgia, emotional highs and lows, and the passage of time. In the live performance video, JÁNA shares clips from her childhood and showcases where youthful ideas are stored as life moves forward. Speaking of the song, JÁNA shares - “I read somewhere: ‘Where do all your dreams go when you die?’ and it stuck with me. That became the starting point for the song. Growing old is a luxury, and many of the songs on the upcoming album are reminders to myself.” The song was written and produced in collaboration with FAMILY TIME and Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), with Ben Reed (Frank Ocean) on bass and Emmanuel Hailemariam on guitar. Together, they create a soundscape that moves between warm soul and electronic textures, all with a Nordic sense of stillness and melancholy.  Since her last EP, JÁNA has spent time in Gothenburg with Little Dragon, back home in Stockholm where she focused on self-production with minimal means, and half a year in Los Angeles writing with new collaborators and forming her core group of musicians. She’s also reconnected with the heart of her creativity – the guitar, and producing her own music. Several songs on her upcoming debut album are self-produced, reflecting a new kind of presence and honesty. With previous collaborations with the likes of Little Dragon, Vic Mensa, and VanJess, as well as a Spotify Single for their Oyster initiative, JÁNA has stepped from the Swedish underground onto the international scene. She has played on BBC Radio 1, featured on COLORSXSTUDIOS, and contributed as a songwriter to Stormzy’s acclaimed album This Is What I Mean. On the live front, she has shared the stage with artists such as Leon Bridges and Little Dragon and performed at festivals including SXSW, Way Out West, and All Points East. Already earning accolades from The Needle Drop, Noir, NPR “Into Music”, The Line Of Best Fit, Guitar Girl Magazine, Audio Fuzz and more, the album contains shimmers of Billie Holiday’s empathy and wisdom, Patti Smith’s poetry and Laurie Anderson’s meticulous euphoria: all artists that have inspired Sally’s music in one way or another. Today she shares album opener and title track “Anatomy” alongside an official video debuted with FLOOD Magazine. With breathtaking piano flourishes set to Sally’s signature lyrical poetry, the song sets out the basic premise of the album as a whole; the simple truth that we are not separate from the earth, or from each other. She shares, “We are intimately connected on every level, for without the earth and our relationship to it, humans cannot survive.
