North American Dates Resume Tomorrow in Austin TX

Depeche Mode has revealed two strikingly different visual aspects of “My Favourite Stranger,” another standout from its universally acclaimed Memento Mori (Columbia Records), hailed by Allmusic for its “pulsing menace” that “builds to discomfiting yet alluring levels of anxiety.” First is the Anton Corbijn-directed official music video that premiered September 21, taking viewers on a journey to an unknown destination alongside an enigmatic figure with a surprising secret. Next up is today’s unveiling of “My Favourite Stranger (Vinegar Hill Sessions),” the third in a series of intimate and unique pared back arrangements of Memento Mori tracks recorded live at Brooklyn’s Vinegar Hill studios.

On the live front, having kicked off the third leg of the Memento Mori World Tour with a trio of shows at Mexico City’s Foro Sol stadium, Depeche Mode returns to the U.S. tomorrow, September 29, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Following a sold out spring run described as “a death-defying evening” (Los Angeles Times) and “a beautiful, life-affirming display of a band that, 43 years in, still has so much left to give” (Chicago Sun-Times), the tour’s second trek through North America will visit arenas across the continent before wrapping with a mid-December four-night stand in Los Angeles. See below for a full list of dates.

Having sold more than 100 million records and played to more than 35 million fans worldwide, Depeche Mode remains an ever-evolving and singularly influential musical force. Depeche Mode released its critically acclaimed 15th studio album, Memento Mori, on March 24, 2023 alongside the launch of the Memento Mori World Tour, which has since played to well over two million fans and has been extended into 2024 due to overwhelming demand. An indelible inspiration to fans, critics and artists alike, Depeche Mode continues to forge ahead, with the Memento Mori album and tour representing the opening of the newest chapter of a peerless and ongoing legacy.

MS. LAURYN HILL ADDS NEW DATES TO THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL 25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR DUE

MS. HILL ADDS NEW DATES TO THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL 25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND

FUGEES TO CO-HEADLINE US DATES

BROOKLYN, WASHINGTON DC, CHICAGO, LA, OAKLAND, AND SEATTLE SHOWS SOLD OUT

Coming off a triumphant Global Citizen Festival headline set where the 5x Grammy winner surprised fans by bringing out Fugees for part of the show, Ms. Hill has now announced additional dates to her upcoming The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour due to overwhelming demand. Newly added dates include Vancouver, San Francisco, Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Tampa, Miami, and Boston. Brooklyn, Washington DC, Chicago, LA Kia Forum, Oakland, and Seattle shows are sold out (full dates below). All North American dates will be co-headlined by Fugees, with tickets for the new dates going on sale this Friday, October 6th, at 10:00 am local time. Ms. Hill notes the importance of the tour, extending the dates, as well as the lasting impact made by both the album and Fugees:

“I’ve almost felt compelled to carry a torch or to keep a light shining regarding the continual performance of the Miseducation album. I believe there’s been a reason for that—and the Fugees coming back together for performances too feels like unfinished business we’re destined to handle. The connections are real and uncanny, and the magic and synergy between us has not been deterred by time. I believe the messages that we and the art we made embody something moving, meaningful and important for us and for the world. We gave voice and image to possibilities that emblazoned so many musical directions after us. As we were inspired, we also inspired countless artists who have shown up to express themselves in this musical space. Both the Miseducation and the Fugees’ material challenged and expanded convention, by paying homage to the past, while richly embracing the present, and emblazoning the trail for the future. We represent not just ourselves but our influences and our peers who took art, culture and inspiration very seriously—- who reshaped the landscape for ourselves and for those who would follow after us. I’m grateful to be able to celebrate this classic material and re-present it to an audience in this time.”

Wyclef continues:

“I can’t wait to hit that stage with my band mates. No one will wanna miss this.  It’s what I call lighting in a bottle.”

Pras adds:

"Reuniting with Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean for the Miseducation Tour is a full circle moment. Lauryn's profound lyricism and mastery of hip hop, reggae, and soul created an undeniable masterpiece with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Combined with our groundbreaking album The Score, this body of work shaped the soundtrack of a generation. It represented a renaissance of culture, politics, and spirituality in hip hop. I'm honored to reunite on stage and pay tribute to Lauryn's immense talent and timeless music. I look forward to celebrating with fans worldwide who have supported us for over 25 years. This tour is about the power of music to leave an indelible impact."

The impact that The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill had on music, fashion, and American and world culture is immeasurable and continues to influence the world's biggest artists. Entered into the Library of Congress in 2015, Ms. Hill and her Diamond-certified album achieved numerous firsts including being the first ever Hip Hop album to receive an Album Of The Year Grammy Award, being the first woman to be nominated for 10 Grammy awards in one year and being the first woman to win 5 Grammys in one night.

HEAR DEBBY FRIDAY’S NEW SINGLE “LET U IN”

Today, Wednesday, September 27th, DEBBY FRIDAY is sharing “let u in,” a new, drum ‘n’ bass-tinged pop single, available worldwide on all DSPs through Sub Pop. The track, recorded in Melbourne during her Australian Winter tour supporting her 2023 album GOOD LUCK, is co-produced by FRIDAY and frequent Wicca Phase Springs Eternal collaborator, Australian electronic music producer and vocalist Darcy Baylis.

The “let u in” single follows the release of GOOD LUCK, FRIDAY’s acclaimed Polaris Music Prize-winning, full-length debut. The album features the singles “SO HARD TO TELL,” “I GOT IT,” “WHAT A MAN,” and “HOT LOVE,” which was co-produced by FRIDAY and Graham Walsh (METZ, Holy Fuck) at Candle Recording Studio in Toronto, and mastered by Heba Kadry in New York.

Her international tour schedule in support of GOOD LUCK and “let u in,” resumes October 27th in Chicago at Sanctum at Thalia Hall and currently runs through December 14th in Montreal at Le Ritz. Please find a current list of confirmed dates below.

Of her SXSW appearances, Rolling Stone raved: “Welcome to Planet Debby: If you wandered into the back room at Empire Garage and Control Room at the right moment on Thursday afternoon, you found yourself in the middle of an interstellar rave in full swing. Toronto experimental artist Debby Friday was onstage, performing a thudding electro-rap song with hints of Azealia Banks and Donna Summer… Leaping off the stage into the small crowd, she demanded that they come closer — “I need your energy!” — and kept on chanting, in a long vamp that bent space and time. It was the kind of serendipitous moment that makes SXSW one of the best places in the world to discover a new favorite.”

GOOD LUCK is available now worldwide from Sub Pop. LP purchases from megamart.subpop.comMega Mart 2, select independent stores in North Americathe U.K., and E.U., and FRIDAY’s live shows will receive the limited Loser edition on metallic silver vinyl (while supplies last).

What people are saying about DEBBY FRIDAY:
“The Nigerian-born, Toronto-based singer and rapper Debby Friday’s ambitious, charismatic album “Good Luck” is one of my favorite debuts of the year so far…She’s a shape-shifting, swashbuckling dynamo journeying through different tempos and genres, always on a heroine’s quest for self-discovery.” “The Amplifier” - THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Her first full-length is sweaty and determined, eager to deliver on its teeth-chattering beats with a feverish intensity. The influences are obvious, but the ways that Debby Friday crashes those sounds together are not.” “Album of the Week” - STEREOGUM

GOOD LUCK is an assured and frequently surprising debut that feels like a trip into the lascivious, eclectic wormhole of Friday’s world – and with so much to take in, and so much fun to be had, you won’t want to leave.”  8/10, CRACK

“There’s an extraordinary elasticity across GOOD LUCK’s masterful production that makes repeated listens not just enjoyable but irresistible.” “8/10, Album of the Week” - LOUD & QUIET

“Grohl and his counterparts—Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and newly inked drummer Josh Freese—always come wholly alive when they are in concert” — Chicago Sun-Times

With their universally acclaimed 11th album But Here We Are stacking up Best of 2023 So Far accolades and singles “Rescued” and “Under You” cementing the band’s tally of more #1s than any other artist at Rock and Alternative Radio, Foo Fighters have confirmed a massive run of summer 2024 U.S. Stadium dates. The newly announced leg of the Everything or Nothing at All Tour will kick off with the band’s return to New York’s Citi Field for the first time since 2015 for a July 17 and 19 doubleheader and will see Foo Fighters host 12 rock ’n’ roll marathons at 10 stadiums, including a pair of shows August  9 and 11 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

General on sale for tickets begins Friday, October 6 at 10am local time. For pre-sales and further information, please visit foofighters.com.

Foo Fighters’ 2024 stadium dates will mark the band’s biggest U.S. headline shows since the June 2 release of But Here We Are, which has landed on the mid-year best of lists of Alternative Press, Consequence, Entertainment Weekly, The Los Angeles Times, Loudwire and Uproxx among others, while generating some of the most positive critical notes in Foo Fighters history, including:

“Tragedy isn’t necessary to produce transcendent music. But here, it did.” — THE ATLANTIC

“★★★★★ Stunning … a standout, and at times stunning, piece of work … quite possibly their best and most meaningful album.” – GOLDMINE

“Explosive, emotional and inspired… a back-to-basics immediacy and intensity… The undercurrent holding all of ‘But Here We Are’ together is not an idea so much as raw emotion. Grohl’s melodies are as soaring and anthemic as they’ve sounded in years; his vocals are freshly impassioned and heartfelt.” — THE NEW YORK TIMES

“A fantastic record full of riffs and reflection… so catchy and vibrant, so brimming with wild-eyed wonder… Grohl clearly understands that we honor departed loved ones by building new joys we wish they were around to share.” – NPR

“Dave Grohl gives himself over to arena-sized grief, reckoning, and resolve on the band’s most propulsive and purposeful music of the last two decades… offering earnest hope, fond reminiscence, and skyscraping choruses” — PITCHFORK

“One of the strongest albums of the band’s career… reckoning with the conundrums of human existence through the sheer power of music” — SPIN

“Memorable and meaningful” — USA TODAY

“Aching directness and wounded sweetness make a potent combination here… But Here We Are pulses with the sense that the future happened too quickly, and we’re all having to navigate situations and handle emotions we thought we’d get to much later in life. These songs chart the push through denial into the acceptance of the reality of death and the lifetime journey of bereavement.” — VULTURE

Support on the various dates will come from Pretenders, The Hives, Mammoth WVH, Amyl and The Sniffers, Alex G and L7. See below for a full list of dates and details.
