Today, Showalter releases the new track “Keys.” The single follows up two previously released tracks from the album, “Weird Ways,” and single “Ruby.” Next week, onMarch 13th Strand of Oaks will perform on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Timothy Showalter on “Keys”: “I've tried ever since Strand of Oaks started to properly write or express my love for my wife and best friend Sue. We've grown up together and without a doubt you would have never heard of me if it wasn't for Sue. She worked two jobs at the beginning of Oaks just to make sure I could get plane tickets to some tour I would inevitably lose money on and for six records she was the first to ever hear any song I've ever written. In a way everything that I've written is a love song for her. I was a lonely and aimless kid when we first met and it was her unconditional support that gave me the courage to pursue this dream. But Keys is a song about the future and realizing with more years the aspects of life that truly matter and what seems so important in the moment just slips into dust. If you listen to the second chorus you will hear the best and only take we could find where both me and my producer Kevin could get through without tears. ‘I'll buy us a trailer down in the Keys,’ may be the most honest and true realization I've ever expressed to my love. I truly hope anyone listening is loved by someone like I have.

On Eraserland, Showalter is backed by My Morning Jacket members Carl Broemel, Bo Koster, Patrick Hallahan and Tom Blankenship, who played a crucial role in the making of the album. The album also features Jason Isbell. It was produced by Kevin Ratterman and recorded at La La Land Studios in Louisville, KY. Eraserland is available for pre-order today and the die cut, double LP will be available on limited cloudy white vinyl. Strand of Oaks will head out on a North American Tour next month. The shows will begin on April 10th in Wilkes-Barre, PA and wrap up in Showalter’s hometown of Philly a month later. Highlights include Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on April 22nd, Lincoln Hall in Chicago on May 3rd and Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on May 9th. The UK's Bad Sounds USA dates kick off next week at SXSW. Tour with Broods follows!

THE UK’S BAD SOUNDS NORTH AMERICAN DATES KICK OFF NEXT WEEK AT SXSW TOURING AS DIRECT SUPPORT FOR BROODS DEBUT ALBUM GET BETTER OUT NOW

The party kicks off with shows during SXSW and quickly follows with a tour as direct support for Broods. Those shows kick off March 26 in Santa Ana, CA and conclude in Washington, DC on April 20. Along the way they stop in Los Angeles on March 27 for a show at The Fonda and hit NYC’s Irving Plaza on April 18. All dates are listed below. Before the release of Bad Sounds’ highly anticipated debut album Get Better the band shared a handful of singles including "Are You High" which was was first heard stateside on Sirius' Alt Nation. Get Better was released in the Fall of 2018 on Sony imprint, Insanity Records. Around it’s release the Bristol UK-based band unleashed a string of singles, 5 of which BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac picked as her "Hottest Record in the World." LISTEN TO THOSE SINGLES HERE. That included "Wages" which channels the psychedelic hip-hop vibes of De la Soul and Beastie Boys, a track first made popular when it appeared on the Fifa 18 soundtrack. Clash noted its “deft, tongue-in-cheek portrayal of life on the breadline” and Billboard, premiering the video said Bad Sounds, “draws influences from the likes of Beck, The Flaming Lips, Michael Jackson and Curtis Mayfield, resulting in an eclectic mix of sounds particularly evident (here).” Watch the video for "Wages" here:

In addition Bad Sounds released 3 album singles - listen HERE to those. Bad Sounds have developed a reputation for their energetic and creative live shows, putting on a show that turns the room into a massive party. The band recently completed their biggest SOLD OUT headline tour to-date in support of the album release, including London’s 1200 capacity Heaven nightclub and 1100 capacity SWX in hometown Bristol. Bad Sounds was formed by brothers Callum and Ewan Merrett. The two started on different musical paths before the band was born -- Ewan was keen on making hip-hop beats and playing with samples, Callum was more engrossed in the soul, pop and R’n’B of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Curtis mayfield. Combining Ewan and Callum’s differing styles, they come together create the colorful and unique world that is Bad Sounds, alongside Charlie Pitt (guitar), Sam Hunt (bass), and Olivia Dimery (drums) who form the rest of the band. More about I Am Easy To Find On September 3, 2017, director Mike Mills emailed Matt Berninger to introduce himself and in very short order, the most ambitious project of the National’s nearly 20-year career was born and plans for a hard-earned vacation died. The Los Angeles-based filmmaker was coming off his third feature, 20th Century Women, and was interested in working with the band on...something. A video maybe. Berninger, already a fan of Mills’ films, not only agreed to collaborate, he essentially handed over the keys to the band’s creative process. The result is I Am Easy to Find, a 24-minute film by Mills starring Alicia Vikander, and I Am Easy to Find, a 68-minute album by the National. The former is not the video for the latter; the latter is not the soundtrack to the former. The two projects are, as Mills calls them, “Playfully hostile siblings that love to steal from each other”—they share music and words and DNA and impulses and a vision about what it means to be human in 2019, but don’t necessarily need one another. The movie was composed like a piece of music; the music was assembled like a film, by a film director. The frontman and natural focal point was deliberately and dramatically sidestaged in favor of a variety of female voices, nearly all of whom have long been in the group’s orbit. It is unlike anything either artist has ever attempted and also totally in line with how they’ve created for much of their careers. As the album’s opening track, “You Had Your Soul With You,” unfurls, it’s so far, so National: a digitally manipulated guitar line, skittering drums, Berninger’s familiar baritone, mounting tension. Then around the 2:15 mark, the true nature of I Am Easy To Find announces itself: The racket subsides, strings swell, and the voice of longtime David Bowie bandmate Gail Ann Dorsey booms out—not as background vocals, not as a hook, but to take over the song. Elsewhere it’s Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan, or Sharon Van Etten, or Mina Tindle or Kate Stables of This Is the Kit, or varying combinations of them. The Brooklyn Youth Choir, whom Bryce Dessner had worked with before. There are choral arrangements and strings on nearly every track, largely put together by Bryce in Paris—not a negation of the band’s dramatic tendencies, but a redistribution of them. “Yes, there are a lot of women singing on this, but it wasn't because, ‘Oh, let's have more women's voices,’ says Berninger. “It was more, ‘Let's have more of a fabric of people's identities.’ It would have been better to have had other male singers, but my ego wouldn't let that happen.” Read more about I Am Easy To Find HERE. OHANA--the annual three-day festival curated by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder--will once again bring its mix of powerful headlining sets, standout collaborations and performances from emerging talent to the beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA.

Set for Friday, September 27-Sunday, September 29, this year's OHANA will be led by performances from the Strokes, Eddie Vedder, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tash Sultana, Incubus, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and more than 25 actsthroughout the three-day weekend of music (full line-up is below). Now in its fourth consecutive year, OHANA has become known for its unexpected collaborations.  Last year (2018), Vedder showed up throughout the festival joining the John Doe Folk Trio (X's "The New World") on Friday, Johnny Marr (The Smiths' "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out") on Saturday and closing out the weekend by appearing with Mumford & Sons on Sunday for a rocking version of Bob Dylan's"All Along the Watchtower."  In addition, during his Saturday headlining set, Vedder was joined by Liz Phair on Pearl Jam's "Better Man"; later in the set he was accompanied musically and vocally by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Scott Thurston on three songs ("Wildflowers," "Room At The Top," and "I Won't Back Down") in tribute to his friend.

As VEDDER explained in a Q&A in advance of last year's event, "It's been a true honor to work with the community and organizers to create a stimulating vibe and uplifting atmosphere for the great crowds and incredible musicians who come out to play in the park.  To have the Pixies, X, Mudhoney, Jack Johnson, etc., etc, etc. play your festival has been so satisfying.  Far beyond our initial vision for it all.

"Seeing Fiona Apple play a truly joyful set in the sun, I know I'll never forget that.  Being there while Lana Del Rey and Chan Marshall (Cat Power), hung out for the first time.  (Lana, who is singing on Cat Power's new single.  When you get to witness that and know you've had a small part in that, there's definitely a healthy sense of pride you can glean from that.

"Practicing a song backstage with Elvis Costello.  Another highlight. When he starts singing from the chair across from you, you're hit with the realization that he is equipped with his own personal P.A. system in his throat.  Perfectly tuned and a voice that's like no other.  It's Elvis!"
