Recorded and produced by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) at The Bomb Shelter in East Nashville over two weeks in the winter of 2014, the album features Ben Trimble of Fly Golden Eagle (backing vocals, keys); Jem Cohen of The Ettes (backing vocals); Matt Menold (lead guitar, organ), Charles Garmendia (drums), and Eduardo DuQuesne (bass) of Clear Plastic Masks; Jon Etes (upright bass, pedal steel, keys); and David Grant (drums, percussion). Breanna was born in Edina, Minnesota and raised in Bradenton, Florida. She began writing and performing songs at house shows and bars in St. Augustine, FL, and traveled around the north and southeast before settling in New York City. She has shared bills with Deer Tick, Margo Price, Deap Vally, Yak, and The Mystery Lights, with upcoming concerts opening for Wild Beasts, and Bo Ningen. Her track "Mirage Dreams" was recently named Interview Magazine's Song Of The Week, and last month BULLETT premiered Barbara's live video for "Nothin But Your Lovin." She was also featured on Galore and Brooklyn Vegan. Fittingly, their new album,Requiem For Hell, incorporates all of those conflicts into the one universal inevitability in life: birth, and death.   Requiem For Hell finds MONO returning to longtime friend and collaborator, Steve Albini. After MONO and Albini's band, Shellac, toured Japan together last year, they realized how much they missed the (often wordless) creative dialogue they shared during the making of many of their most memorable albums - beginning with 2004's Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky... and culminating with 2009's Hymn To The Immortal Wind. The rebirth of the Albini collaboration for Requiem For Hell also coincided with the birth of a close friend's first child, whose actual in utero heartbeat serves as the foundation for the aptly named "Ely's Heartbeat." For MONO, it all felt so right, so inevitable.   Requiem For Hell is undeniably heavier and scarier than most of MONO's output to this point - hear the dizzying 18-minute title track for example - but it also carries some of their most sublime moments. Bright Eyes are re-releasing six albums mastered by legendary engineer Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering. The reissues will be released as a box set, available on Vinyl or CD format, on Sept 16th, 2016. The reissues will be available individually in November. The Studio Albums 2000-2011 box set includes remastered versions of Fevers and Mirrors (2000), LIFTED or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground(2002), I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (2005), Digital Ash in a Digital Urn (2005), andCassadaga (2007). The box set will also include The People's Key (2011). The Vinyl Box Set features 6 Albums on 10 LPs pressed at RTI and housed in tip-on jackets, including digital downloads of each album. Vinyl Box Set exclusives include colored vinyl, twelve 8x10 photo prints by Butch Hogan, and an essay by Nathaniel Krenkel.The vinyl box set is limited to 5,000 copies and includes all 10 LPs housed in a foil stamped linen-wrapped box. William S. Burroughs "Nothing Here Now but the Recordings"

Burroughs : Nothing Here Now but the Recordings LP In 1980, Genesis P-Orridge and Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson (then of Throbbing Gristle renown) travelled to New York City to meet up at the fortified apartment, known as The Bunker, of famed beat writer and cultural pioneer William S. Burroughs and his executor James Grauerholz to starting the daunting task to compile the experimental sounds works of Burroughs, which, up until that point, had never been heard. During those visits, Burroughs would play back his tape recorder experiments featuring his spoken word “cut-ups”, collaged field recordings from his travels and his flirtations with EVP recording techniques, pioneered by Latvian intellectual Konstantins Raudive. Throughout the next year, P-Orridge, Christopherson and Grauerholz would spent countless hours compiling various edits, each collection showcasing Burroughs sensitive ear and keen experimental prowess for audio anomaly within technical limitations. By the time 1981 came through, Burroughs had relocated to Lawrence, KS in which to escape the violence and mania of New York City life. It is in Lawrence that P-Orridge and Christopherson put the finishing touches on the record that would be known as “Nothing Here Now but the Recordings”. The album would come out in the Spring of 1981 as the final release for the shuttering Industrial Records, brought about by the dissolution of Throbbing Gristle. The album remained out of print until 1998 when John Giorno and the Giorno Poetry Systems included the album on a multi-disc retrospective CD box set compiling the majority of Burroughs seminal recordings. Dais Records is honored to have worked with the Estate of William S. Burroughs to finally reissue, for the first time since its original release in 1981, a proper album reissue of William S. Burroughs “Nothing Here Now but the Recordings” in its original vinyl format to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Burroughs. Fully remastered from the original master tapes in a limited edition of 1,000 vinyl copies. On September 30^th Edsel records are pleased to be releasing The Complete Cathedral Oceans - all three editions of John Foxx’s seminal ambient masterpiece.

This marks the first ever vinyl release for the beautiful, elegant trilogy of Cathedral Oceans (1997), Cathedral Oceans II (2003) and Cathedral Oceans III (2005). The music is spread over five 12”s and is accompanied by 12 X 12” art print and a book containing Foxx’s stunning images and passages from his novel The Quiet Man, all of which is encased in a deluxe hardback book set. Every copy of this limited edition run of 750 is hand numbered.

First as the original frontman of Ultravox and subsequently as a feted solo artist, John Foxx is one of the most eminent exponents of electronic and ambient music. Aphex Twin, Gary Numan, Juan Atkins, The Orb, Junior Boys, Vincent Gallo, Simple Minds, Clint Mansell, Duran Duran, LoneLady and Gazelle Twin have all cited Foxx as a big influence. The avant-garde pianist Harold Budd attended a performance of Cathedral Oceans several years ago and was so moved by it that he collaborated with Foxx on two albums (Translucence and Drift Music.)

Cathedral Oceans is a project whose recording began in 1983, but the gestation period was even longer. “Cathedral Oceans started when I was kid, when I sang in a choir briefly,” Foxx told FACT.“During that time I became very interested in the way that sound worked in big spaces, churches particularly. I learned a lot of things there but I didn’t understand a lot of what I’d actually learned until later. And when I started recording I’d almost forgotten about all that until I started using echoes and reverberations, and then I realised that I could use some of that to simulate things that happened when I was singing in churches back then, and use that old knowledge of how a single voice in a massive space behaves. It really inspired the juxtaposition of old style church music with modern technology and synthesizers creating notional space, rather than real space.”

In addition to Foxx’s use of studio tech as “a cathedral in a suitcase”, the sounds were originally accompanied by photographs of buildings, statues and foliage that John started taking as far back as his time touring with Ultravox. These images were then manipulated and overlaid as videos that slowly morph into each other, gradually unfolding with the music to create the effect of a “moving stained glass window that you can sit and look at for hours.”

Alongside Shifting City - released on the same day – the first Cathedral Oceans marked Foxx's return to music after an absence of seven years. It was also his first solo album since 1985's In Mysterious Ways.
