Tele Novella has also announced a run of US summer tour dates today. The tour will see them playing cities across the US including San Francisco, Portland, LA, their native Austin and more. See below for a full rundown of dates and watch this space for new music and a special announcement coming very soon

More About Tele Novella:
Tele Novella is an inspired macabre-pop band out of Austin, TX. They are dreamy, they are spooky, and they write real fucking songs. While one may detect the influence of the nocturnal jungles of Os Mutantes or the lapelled, knee-socked smarts of Belle and Sebastian, they have cobbled together a special kind of mineral all their own worth making room on the Table of Elements for. Earnest, yet sinister; Vampy, but sentimental. The precise recipe that goes into this concoction cannot be revealed, but it is a delightful snow globe of warm, colorful darkness.

In 2014, they won a contest for free recording time at Dub Narcotic Studios in Olympia, WA. This resulted in their first single, "Trouble in Paradise," that was later featured in the ABC television series Pretty Little Liars. Not long after that in 2015, their EP Cosmic Dial Tone was released on Los Angeles label Lolipop Records on the heels of a Wes Anderson tribute compilation (American Laundromat Records), to which they contributed a contagiously glad version of "Stephanie Says" by The Velvet Underground.

More About Joseph Hein:
Joseph Hein hails from the Palouse in eastern Washington State. With lush arrangements and warm distortion, he creates dreamy harmonious sounds with an energetic uptempo rhythm influenced by songs of yesteryear's AM country and R&B gold. He is often accompanied by an array of instruments including a trombone, a violin, keyboards and guitars that add to the band's distinct style.  Joseph Hein sings honestly about good times and the bad and the music bears witness to the road unkempt and a winding trail.  Joseph grew up making music in the rural eastern WA region known as the Palouse. With that small town isolation the multi instrumentalist Joseph Hein gleaned from a range of influences and played with a tight knit group of kids in all sorts of bands that ranged from punk to electronic pop. The path continued into the DIY scene of Olympia, WA where that intensely creative place inspired further collaborations that continue today. He has released two official albums as a solo artist and is in the process of finishing his third. His most recently released album, "Following Fog", holds the energy and sounds of the places it was recorded: from a barn to a church, a garage, cabin, closet, and the span of eastern to western Washington state. It is truly inspired by the places it all took place, and marks a period of time. Between touring, recording and collaborating with others he hides out in the hills and plays his new bass....-

More About The Tins:
With influences ranging from Talking Heads to Tame Impala, The Tins craft masterfully layered jams that USA Today calls "brilliant pop exuberance." Hailing from Buffalo NY, the trio has released a number of critically acclaimed records. The Tins' first single, "The Green Room," was chosen by Sean Parker , Spotify creator, as a staple of his Hipster International Playlist, and tapped as Spotify Staff Picks #2 Song of the Year. Since that point the Tins have worked with producers Joe Blaney (Modest Mouse, Prince, The Clash) and Ted Young (Kurt Vile, The Gaslight Anthem) and have garnered millions of plays online. The Tins are currently in rotation on SiriusXM Radio and have been licensed to several hit TV shows including Beverly Hills 90210 and Roadtrip Nation.

More About The Lucy Ring:
The Lucy Ring is a four piece band currently out of Southern California after transplanting from Brooklyn. Their first album was recorded at Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono's private studio in Upstate, NY and was produced by Sean's girlfriend and partner in The Goastt, Charlotte Kemp-Muhl.  Lucy Ring co-founder David Hyman had worked as a personal assistant for Sean, and Charlotte invited the band up to track to tape upon hearing some demos she liked.

DFA's Factory Floor Drop New Single "Ya" + '25 25' LP Out August 19th

25 25 Out August 19th via DFA Records

“Hypnotic”
– FADER
“Dark, sleek, minimalist electronic music”
– Stereogum
“Electro-industrial signal jammers”
– SPIN
“Mesmerizing”
– Consequence Of Sound

Ya is the latest single to be taken from Factory Floor’s second studio album, 25 25, out August 19th via DFA Records. A mischief-inducing dancefloor gem, the new single comes on the heels of “Dial Me In” which the band shared last month.

25 25 is the follow up to Factory Floor’s critically acclaimed 2013 self-titled debut.  Stripped to a mesmerizing dance of percussion, fragmented voice, and melody, 25 25captures the next stage of evolution for one of the UK’s most restless and exploratory groups.

Following the release of their debut album Factory Floor in 2013, the band - consisting of Nik Void and Gabriel Gurnsey - slimmed down to a duo.  Having already boiled the scorched textures of their early singles down into their debut’s hallucinatory club-not-club stomp, they both seized the opportunity to voyage further along the pathway, mixing the album with razor-sharp precision via David Wrench (FKA Twigs, Caribou).

Inspired by playing a growing number of late-night club shows, the pair’s music gradually evolved into the sound captured on their second album and in their current live incarnation: a stark, ultra-minimalist and eerily soulful dancefloor pulse, yet one that still bears Factory Floor’s unmistakable hallmark of hypnotic repetition and jagged, punkish intensity.

25 25 is out August 19th via DFA and can be pre-ordered here.

25 25 Tracklist:
1. Meet Me At The End
2. Relay
3. Slow Listen
4. 25/25
5. Dial Me In
6. Wave
7. Ya
8. Upper Left

BORIS streaming entire 'Forbidden Songs' album from 10th anniversary 'Pink (Deluxe Edition)' reissue

BORIS streaming entire unreleased songs set early from 10th anniversary Pink (Deluxe Edition) reissue
North America tour performing Pink in its entirety starts 7/22

Hear & share Forbidden Songs album (Soundcloud)

Japanese trio Boris are streaming the entire Forbidden Songs album of unreleased tracks from the 10th anniversary Pink (Deluxe Edition) reissue today for the next 24 hours. The 9-track collection is available to hear and share via Soundcloud

NPR previously premiered "SOFUN" HEREPitchfork announced the release with "Are You Ready?"HERE

Boris will launch a full North American headlining tour later this month in which they will performPink in its entirety. The band's new Sargent House labelmates Earth will play all dates except two in Canada. Please see complete dates below.

Pink, the landmark 2006 album by Boris, which earned widespread critical praise -- including Pitchfork's Top 10 Albums of 2006 -- will be reissued in an expanded edition this week to commemorate the album's 10th anniversary.

The deluxe 3xLP box set and 2xCD features an entire album of previously unreleased tracks recorded during the Pink album sessions in 2004-2005. The bonus Forbidden Songs collects 9 tracks of the same hyperactive, accessible and aggressive caliber of the original album, available here for the first time, mixed (with additional editing and arrangement) in 2015 and mastered in January 2016. Like the original U.S. vinyl release, the Pink (Deluxe Edition) LP set has three longer edits of songs that were truncated on the original CD issue ("Farewell", "Pseudo-Bread" and "My Machine"). Otherwise, both the LP and CD versions have the same audio as the 2006 release. And, Pink (Deluxe Edition) also features the artwork of the original Japanese release, made by the band members themselves.

In 2006, Pink was Boris' 10th album and a major breakthrough that earned new fans outside of the underground metal community -- the track "Farewell" was even featured in Jim Jarmusch's classic filmThe Limits of Control. The album landed on countless "best of the year" lists from underground metal sites to mainstream rock magazines. And the praise was certainly well deserved for its more accessible sound and explorations into shoegaze and ambient structures alongside brutal noise, searing psychedelia and apocalyptic doom.

Pink succeeds at what most bands cannot do: swiftly changing styles from song to song, while always sounding distinctly like themselves. The seamless, explosive set of fan favorites from the classic longtime lineup of drummer/vocalist Atsuo, guitarist/vocalist Wata and bassist/guitarist/vocalist Takeshi still sounds as mindblowing as it did a decade ago. And, Forbidden Songs continues with the same unbridled creativity and ferocity. These songs aren't outliers, they're rather more like the director's cut version of the original album.

Boris is now in their 24th year as a band -- 20 years in the classic trio lineup -- and showing no signs of slowing down. They have always demolished expectations of what a band can do musically and aesthetically. And in looking back with Pink (Deluxe Edition), the band's trajectory as experimenters and innovators over subsequent releases becomes even clearer.

Pink (Deluxe Edition) will be available everywhere (excluding Japan) on July 8th on 3xLP box set, 2xCD and download via Sargent House. iTunes pre-orders include a free immediate download of "Are You Ready?" HERE, 3xLP box set and 2xCD are available for pre-order via Hello Merch

Sigur Rós release 5-minute timelapse of 'Route One'

Sigur Rós have just shared a five-minute timelapse version of their recent 'Route One', whole day "slow TV" event. For more than 24 hours over the longest day of the year the group live-streamed the entire drive around Iceland's coastal ring road, set to a live generating soundtrack created in real time from the band's new song Ã“veður. The song now serves as the soundtrack to this newly condensed version of the journey:

Two weeks ago half-a-million people joined the stream to watch as the scenic beauty of Iceland unfolded at a steady 60km/hour. Now, the group are making an HD version of the full Route One video available permanently at 21:00 GMT on Tuesday (12), coinciding with a week of re-screenings on Iceland's national TV network RUV.

Slothrust Sign To Dangerbird Records, Announce Fall Tour With Highly Suspect

Slothrust Sign To Dangerbird Records

Announce Fall Tour With Highly Suspect

Look Out For New LP This Fall

"Wellbaum and crew craft playful, tightly instrumented visions of psychic dysfunction, inflatable lovers, worm regurgitation, cat appreciation and Satan. It’s music for long-haul road trips in busted cars, where the destination is a club that smells awful but the crowd is cool." Time Out NY

"Brooklyn’s Slothrust is a rock band of musicians from the jazz/blues tradition who sound nothing like jazz musicians playing rock. Beneath the know-how their aesthetic is punk-as-f**k." - MTV

[Slothrust's] songs recall the glory days of '90's alternative rock: Nirvana, Pixies, [and] Weezer." - Magnet

Slothrust are thrilled to announce their new album, EVERYONE ELSE which will be released this fall on Dangerbird Records. The first taste of new music, along with full album details, will be unveiled in the coming weeks. To kick off the release of the album, they will be touring with Highly Suspect in this October/November.

"We are so excited to be working with Dangerbird Records on this album," says guitarist/vocalist Leah Wellbaum. "They are a label that cares about creative risks and creating a space for artists to grow and evolve. This record has been a long time coming and we are psyched to finally share it with the world."
Few bands wading through the colossal inundation of music in the ’10s have managed to release three full-length albums, let alone ones which see them progressively challenging themselves and raising the stakes artistically. Slothrust have achieved this feat masterfully on their third full-length, Everyone Else, following 2014’s sophomore release Of Course You Do, and their 2012 debut, Feels Your Pain.
Composed of Leah Wellbaum (guitars/vocals), Kyle Bann (bass), and Will Gorin (drums), Slothrust have crafted a veritable fireworks display in Everyone Else—visceral, bone marrow cutting anthems that grab your ear in the short term and sustain their appeal over the long haul thanks to the sheer complexity and originality of the arrangements and lyrical depth.

Toro y Moi Announces "Live From Trona" Album + Documentary

TORO Y MOI ANNOUNCES
LIVE FROM TRONA
ALBUM + DOCUMENTARY

In May of 2016, following a year of non-stop touring and promotion of his fourth album What For?Chaz Bundick of Toro Y Moi and his live band decamped to California's Mojave Desert for a recording session that resulted in Live From Trona, a 13-track album featuring live versions of songs from across Toro Y Moi's acclaimed catalog. Carpark Records will release Live From Trona digitally on August 5th and in physical format as a limited edition pink vinyl double LP on November 4th. Pre-orders will become available on July 25th. Filmmaker Harry Israelson captured the entire recording process and directed the documentary Toro Y Moi: Live From Trona, featuring exclusive performance footage and candid scenes. Live From Trona will be released as Vimeo's first ever concert film and will screen at New York's House of Vans on August 2nd and the Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles on August 4th.

Israelson, a Vimeo 9-time Staff Picked director broke down the fourth wall, revealing the filmmaking process by making equipment, lights and crew visible at all times. With no audience in attendance and a spectacular natural environment that feels otherworldly, the film pays homage to rock films of a previous era. As the sun sets behind the pinnacles, which formed thousands of years ago in what used to be a prehistoric lake, the supernatural setting weaves seamlessly together with 13 psychedelic tracks, all recorded on site over the course of an entire day. Through the use of hand-drawn animations and behind-the-scenes VHS footage, Live From Trona offers viewers a surreal concert experience, placing them front row at a private Toro Y Moi show.
