A band whose very existence and legacy were and are dominated by words and phrases like 'out of it' and 'sabotage' would just decide out of nowhere that they're gonna play another show? The day's come and gone that Royal Trux took the stage at Berserktown II, laying it down on a packed house of rock and roll freaks and weirdos.  Little bits of footage of the performance appeared the day after and just as suddenly disappeared. What the FUCK! Why did we snuff those cell-phone-culled vines of excitement? Because. We've got a much better tape of it - and here's not just one but TWO tunes - and in fool color - to prove it! The price is right, right? Two wigg-wackers for the price of none, worth it for everyone!   On " Junkie Nurse" (from the primordial-garage thudder of 1992's  Untitled) Neil gallops out with stinging guitar leads, and twins with Jenniferfor  bitter harmony. Swaggering across the stage like a tranked-up tiger,Jennifer delivers pure venom  with head-swiveling chomp 'n drool.  The smoky, mashed zonks of "Back To School" (a mid-period hit single) make for a deep-focus jam complete with trippin'  guitar, rolling bottoms, and alternatively faded. unsynched and SCORCHING duel vocals. Jennifer struts seditiously about, signifying into the air in serpentine delight. Royal Trux's showmanship is just as perfectly FUCKED as it was twenty years ago, time changes NOTHING. In celebration of the album's release FIDLAR will participate in a tumblr IRL tonight at The Well in Downtown Los Angeles (1006 S. Olive St) at 7:00 PM. The event will feature visual art by the band's longtime collaborator Ryan Baxley as well as Zoe Zag, who illustrated the band's album artwork, and Alice Baxley. There will also be video projections, screen-printing, various on-site activations, and a very special surprise sure to please hometown FIDLAR fans. 

 

Produced by Jay Joyce,  Too, was recorded in Nashville over the span of just two weeks. The 12-song collection of pop-infused garage rock expands on the band's 2013 self-titled album that put them at the forefront of modern punk music. The new album showcases a band that continues to fine-tune its sonic approach while also highlighting a more introspective and revelatory approach to songwriting. It also marks the first time the band has worked with a producer.

 

Following appearances on the main stage of Reading and Leeds, FIDLAR will kick off an extensive headlining U.S. tour in Denver, CO on September 9th that wraps on Halloween for a two-night hometown stand at the Regent Theater. In November the band will embark on a European tour including a headlining date at London's historic Forum. NPR Music says of Ones and Sixes, "It's one thing for Low to have made a rewarding career of spare, dramatic, glacially paced music — for song after slow-moving song to have been constructed out of little more than crystalline guitar lines, minimal bass, maybe a few effects here and there, brushes of snare and the alternating or intertwined voices of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker. It's another to make those ingredients sound so incredibly dynamic; to spend 20-plus years making a dozen albums that each feel distinct, and that each introduce new ideas, twists and ways to wring drama out of the space between notes…Throughout Ones And Sixes, the Minnesota trio somehow gives weight to airiness as comfort and discord orbit each other like a binary star. The infamously fierce, feminist pioneers of American grunge punk came back into the spotlight upon the announcement of their documentary film, L7: Pretend We’re Dead, fully funded by fans across the globe via Kickstarter. Often credited as a leading force behind the grunge movement of the late ‘80s and for their influence on riot grrrl bands of the early ‘90s, the reaction to the announcement was far more electric than they could have expected, catalyzing a widely anticipated reunion of the band in its original line-up.  
  
L7 took the stage for the first time in 18 years during May of 2015, receiving accolades from the likes of Rolling Stone, LA Weekly, and many more. For a taste of their live energy that still radiates to this day, fans can watch the first reunion performance of “Shit List” at The Echo in Los Angeles.
