SLIDE AWAY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SECOND YEAR WITH SLIDE AWAY NYC ON APRIL 26 & SLIDE AWAY LA ON MAY 24 WITH PERFORMANCES FROM NOTHING, THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART, SWERVEDRIVER, SWIRLIES, WHIRR, AND MORE PRESALE TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW

TICKETS NEW YORK CITY | LOS ANGELES (January 21, 2025) - SLIDE AWAY, "the festival that celebrates itself," returns bigger and better in its second year taking place across two unique weekends in NYC and Los Angeles. Lineups at both events span generations of shoegaze and dreampop bands from the 1990's to the present and notably marks Whirr's first show since 2015, Swervedriver's first announced US shows since 2019, and The Pains At Being Pure At Heart's first show with their original lineup since 2012 and their first time playing their seminal self-titled debut album in full. SLIDE AWAY NYC will happen at Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, NY on April 26 and will feature performances by Her New Knife, Lucid Express, Nothing, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Swervedriver, Whirr, plus a DJ Set by Norman Brannon of Texas Is The Reason and Thursday. SLIDE AWAY LA will happen at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA and will feature performances by Luster, Nothing, Swervedriver, Swirlies, Vyva Melinkolya, Whirr, plus sounds by claire rousay. A portion of proceeds from SLIDE AWAY NYC benefits The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that provides suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for LGBTQ+ young people. A portion of proceeds from SLIDE AWAY LA benefits the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, a nonprofit that works to end mass incarceration in California and impowers formerly and currently incarcerated people to thrive by providing a support network, comprehensive reentry services, and opportunities to advocate for policy change. A physical and emotional assault; you know it when you feel it.
