She shouts and yelps, easily switching between deep bellowing notes and a piercing falsetto.” – Rolling Stone “‘What Now,’ an album filled with wailing soul, jittery funk and buzzing grooves [is] born of frustration, pain, love and intense questioning.” - The New York Times “a crackling energy that transcends age or genre” – NPR “a guided tour through a wide range of musical styles and feelings.” - Associated Press “Brittany Howard enters her ‘High Priestess’ Era” - The Hollywood Reporter “Howard revels in the possibilities that her mighty, versatile voice offers…” – Variety ABOUT MICHAEL KIWANUKA Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning, Grammy nominated British musician Michael Kiwanuka introduced himself and his art with the acclaimed debut album, Home Again, followed by his decidedly left turn LP, Love & Hate. Produced alongside Danger Mouse, the album notably features the haunting hit “Cold Little Heart” from HBO’s Big Little Lies. KIWANUKA, Michael’s third and most definitive release to date, brought the singer of Ugandan heritage back together with Danger Mouse and as well as British producer Inflo. The eponymous album earned Michael the distinguished Mercury Prize in 2020, his fourth and fifth BRIT nominations, and his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Album. All three records have been certified Gold status. Michael has been keeping himself in good company as a regular contributor and confidante of the acclaimed SAULT collective and will have more information on new music to come soon. “His subtly political music recalls Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers….At his best, Kiwanuka foregrounds the dizzying breadth of his influences, refusing, at all costs, to play for cheap soul thrills.” - ROLLING STONE “a rich, full-bodied voice that sounded the way drinking hot cocoa in front of a crackling fireplace feels.” - THE NEW YORK TIMES “This is full-throated soul with swagger.” - NPR “one of the greatest albums of the decade” - 5 STARS, THE GUARDIAN ON KIWANUKA
