(September 27, 2024) - Wet, the creative outlet of Kelly Zutrau, shares a new single, “Rosy,” written with longtime collaborator Buddy Ross and produced by inc.’s Daniel Aged – a frequent collaborator of Frank Ocean, FKA Twigs, and Rosalía – alongside Florence And The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd. “Rosy” is layered with bittersweet piano and guitar with Zutrau’s lyrics conveying nostalgia and regret while looking at the past through rose-tinted glasses. The song follows the previously shared standalone single “Double,” which arrived with a video directed by Alexandra Thurmond and was also co-written with Buddy Ross.
Emerging in 2014 with a self-titled debut EP via taste-making indie pop label Neon Gold, Wet moved to Columbia Records for two mostly understated albums, 2016's Don't You, which The New Yorker described as "a harbinger of a pop future that’s tantalizingly close," and 2018's Still Run, which Billboard called their "best project yet." In 2021, Wet’s third full-length album, the hauntingly beautiful Letter Blue was released via AWAL. In 2022, Wet featured on the Grammy award-winning Fred again.. album Actual Life 3 (January 1 - September 9 2022) on the track “Kelly (end of a nightmare).” And in 2023, Wet made appearances on Ralphie Choo’s debut album SUPERNOVA on the song “METAVERSE” as well as on the opening track of Rod Wave’s album Nostalgia where Zutrau’s singing is the first thing listeners hear.
This October, Wet will head to Europe for a string of headline shows with stops in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, with support from Night Slugs’ Jam City on select dates. Full tour routing below.
