Horace Andy and Jah Wobble back with a new single from their highly-rated Timeless Roots collaboration
Los Angeles, California - It’s called “Ooh Child,” and you may remember the 5 Stairsteps’ original. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t, because Horace, Wobble (Public Image Ltd) and co-producer Jon Klein (Specimen, Siouxsie & The Banshees) have completely reinvented it.
Taken from their upcoming Timeless Roots album, “Ooh Child” captures one of Horace’s greatest ever vocal performances, soundscaped by a beautifully breeze of keys and strings, and underpinned, of course, by a classic Wobble bass line.

It’s also just one of a multitude of surprises that await as Timeless Roots unfolds, including such daringly rearranged classics as Stevie Wonder's “Superstition," The Beatles' "Come Together” and America's "A Horse With No Name,” PLUS new versions of the Andy jewels “Skylarking,” "Natty Dread A Weh She Want" and - reflecting on his work with Massive Attack - “One Love” and a superlative rearrangement of “Spying Glass.”
Throughout, Wobble and Klein’s production blends reggae with modern dub, world music - and more!!! - to fashion one of the richest reggae albums likely to be released this year!
