(October 27, 2023) - NYC trio Show Me The Body releases their live album Live & Loose In The USA via Loma Vista Recordings. Arriving one year after the release of Trouble The Water, the 15-track album features live recordings from various stops on their now infamous World War Tour from earlier this year and features guest appearances from tour mates Aaron Heard (Jesus Piece), Christine Cadette (Zulu), and more. Live & Loose In The USA is available for purchase on 2 x LP vinyl plus a 208-page World War Tour photo zine HERE.
Tonight, Show Me The Body premieres their mini-documentary titled Days of Hate, created by filmmaker Oliver Shahery and filmed during the recording of Trouble The Water, at Los Angeles' Brain Dead Studios. The event kicks off at 7pm and will feature a screening of the documentary plus drinks and DJs on the Slammers patio. More details below.
On the heels of their West Coast run of shows with The Garden, Show Me The Body will head to Mexico for two shows this November and December. The trio will perform at Foro Indepencia with Flores y Fuego and Niña Perro on November 29th and at Foro Indie Rocks! on December 2nd with Flores y Fuego and Dismorfia. Tickets available HERE.
Live & Loose In The USA lands just after the release of Show Me The Body's remix EP Trouble The Water - Remixes, which includes reimagined versions of select tracks from their 2022 full-length from Detroit ghettotech trio HiTech, Pink Siifu, Michael "5000" Watts of Swishahouse fame, Slauson Malone 1, and Psymun featuring RXKNephew.
The trio's epic aforementioned World War Tour saw sold out shows across America, including Brooklyn Steel. Additionally, Show Me The Body recently hosted a free show at New York City's Tompkins Square Park in partnership with their label CORPUS, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic fans on a Friday afternoon. Show Me The Body made a stir with their cover of the Beastie Boys' classic "Sabotage," and a captivating performance of their fan-favorite "Trash" from their 2017 Corpus I mixtape.
Released at the end of last year, Trouble The Water is Show Me The Body's fourth full-length and includes the anthemic tracks "WW4," "Loose Talk," which came paired with a video directed by front man Julian Cashwan Pratt, and "We Came To Play." The 12-track album was recorded entirely at CORPUS studios in Long Island City and produced with Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Turnstile, Municipal Waste). Trouble The Water is the culmination of nearly a decade's time barreling against New York City’s structural ambivalence and indifference. The tracks of Trouble The Water both reference and pay homage to the physical city, and the New York Sound: not one particular genre, but the people and subcultures that encapsulate its true foundation.
