Following her 2023 Victoire de la Musique (Female Revelation - French Grammys) and her award at the Prix Joséphine (first prize winner), Parisian artist November Ultra today releases Bedroom Walls: Le Salon, the deluxe version of her highly acclaimed 2022 debut album that includes seven bonus tracks and sees November Ultra inviting you to open new pages of her diary. Listen to Bedroom Walls: Le Salon HERE.
“Since April of last year, I’ve been writing new stories, humming new songs, singing them on stage and recording them in my living room,” November Ultra comments on the new deluxe album “and little by little I realised that all of them unlocked a new sonical room and that if bedroom walls helped me realise who I was, then le salon helped me understand how I related to others.”
November Ultra’s supremely expressive voice gives the gut-wrenching emotions that she sings about the sweetest of edges, a style that gives her songs the feeling of a sneak peek into someone’s diary, and her intimate stories have connected with a huge audience. November Ultra recently shared her new single “Corazón Caramelo”, a poignant Spanish piano-ballad anchored in both traditional copla and soaring modular synth pop, alongside a breathtaking Colors Studio performance - watch it HERE.
They say that when you change, everything changes - is it the same with love? Do your ideals shift with time and age? November Ultra's “Corazón Caramelo” questions and explores the fluctuation of the heart through this cinematographic ballad. A song that works like a tattoo, a mantra, a spell, a prayer, and an incredibly soulful bridge between November Ultra's otherworldly voice and our own hearts.
November Ultra has been touring consistently over the past 18 months, seeing her win over audiences all over the world. She has performed three recent sell-out headline shows in London in the past year, including a most recent show at Village Underground that had the audience spellbound. This summer sees her on a North American tour before returning to Europe for festival shows.
November Ultra’s current breakthrough moment might appear to be an overnight success story, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. As a child she became obsessed with singing, a skill that was nurtured by her grandfather Ramón. Later, she attended a conservatoire, where she pursued formal music training. Eventually, however, she realised that as important as technique is, an artist’s power of expression is the trait that will resonate with an audience.
Prior to starting her solo career, November spent five years with Paris electro-pop trio Agua Roja. During her time with Agua Roja, she realised that her songs don’t come from a sudden strike of inspiration - they come from her taking the time to experience and feel the varied feelings that life provides. The result was Bedroom Walls, a singular pop album that is beautifully coloured with a life lived to the fullest. The title refers to her own Parisian room, where messages from friends are scrawled on walls and books, and where objects and gifts lie everywhere.
