Today, the art-collecting collective Unicorn DAO, led by Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova, and the Tezos Foundation announce their ongoing partnership to support and uplift women-identified, non-binary, and LGTBQ+ artists.
The unique and valuable partnership started last month when Tezos supported Pussy Riot’s monumental Putin’s Ashes debut solo exhibition at Jeffrey Deitch Gallery in Los Angeles, as well as the Postgender exhibit at LA’s Vellum Gallery, curated by Chanel Verdult and Alice Scope. Chanel and Alice will be exhibiting Postgender on tour internationally – the collection available on Objkt.com.
Working with curators from the Unicorn DAO network - Chanel Verdult and KarateKid - the DAO will begin highlighting its recent acquisitions of female and non-binary artists from within the Tezos ecosystem with a monthly collection report on their website. Unicorn plans on tapping its rich network of artists and creators to assist in guest curation and discovering emerging artists on Objkt and fx(Hash) and other marketplaces on the Tezos blockchain.
