Vampire Weekend has been nominated for three GRAMMY Awards including Album of the Year. The band will be also be competing for Best Alternative Music Album (for its acclaimed fourth album Father of the Bride) and Best Rock Song (Ezra Koenig for “Harmony Hall”) when the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards take place January 26, 2020.
Father of the Bride was released May 3rd on Columbia Records, quickly becoming the third Vampire Weekend album in a row to reach #1 on the Billboard 200. Father of the Bride’s first week sales of 138,000 marked the highest single week sales of the Grammy-winning band’s career, including 20,000 vinyl copies, putting the LP at #1 on the vinyl chart by a large margin—not to mention #1 debuts on the Album Sales and Internet Sales charts.

Vampire Weekend has won one previous GRAMMY, for Best Alternative Music Album at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards for 2013’s Modern Vampires Of The City, and was nominated for a Best Alternative Music Album at the 53rd annual GRAMMY Awards for 2010’s Contra. in 2014 Vampire Weekend performed at the yearly GRAMMY In The Schools Live! concert, accompanied by members of GRAMMY Camp — Jazz Session. The band is currently on the European leg of its Father of the Bride Tour—its biggest and most ambitious outing to date, and one that has seen the band play a triumphant September 6th homecoming staged in-the-round for a sold out crowd of nearly 20,000 fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The tour will continue through 2020.
