Australian multi-instrumentalist
Annie Bass just released her latest single
“Don’t Worry”today via
Opulent. The new track explores themes of denial, lost love and the realization of strength that can only come from creating distance and walking away. It also showcases an intimacy that is both intensely private and impossibly inviting. The song is understated and spacious, allowing the purity of Annie Bass’ voice—and the unflinching emotional honesty of her lyrics—to shine through. “Don’t Worry” is available now via iTunes and additional streaming services here:

Annie says: “During my first serious relationship, I reached a point where I felt totally broken, like my ability to feel like a woman had been switched off. ‘Don’t Worry’ was written years later. Looking back, it is all so clear, I was living in such deep denial just to avoid feeling something that was inevitable."
The track was produced by Los Angeles-based rising star Kito (Jorja Smith, Mabel) with additional production from Melbourne’s Sam Gill (Ara Koufax), mixed by John Lee(Beaches, Laura Jean) and mastered by Matt Colton (FKA Twigs, Four Tet).
“Don’t Worry” follows the release of Annie’s acclaimed single “Don’t Want” and a two-track collaborative release with
Christopher Port via
Future Classic. As with her songs, Annie’s live performances draw the audience into a private and cathartic space. Watch the just-released stunning live version of “Don’t Worry” here:
