FEIST CELEBRATES 15th ANNIVERSARY OF HER ALBUM LET IT DIE WITH SPECIAL VINYL EDITION DUE SEPTEMBER 6TH
August 27th, 2018 — (Santa Monica, CA) — Feist will celebrate the 15th anniversary of her 2004 album Let It Die (Cherrytree / Interscope) by releasing a brand-new vinyl reissue on September 6th. The album, which has been out of print on vinyl for some time, has been newly relathed by Bernie Grundman Mastering and is pressed on seafoam-green heavyweight vinyl. It will feature a new original cover adapted by Heather Goodchild. All details of the reissue have been overseen by Feist herself.
The online record club Vinyl Me, Please has named Let It Die its “Essentials Record of the Month” for September. Information on the vinyl subscription is available here.
Recorded sporadically in Paris in 2003 and 2004 with Chilly Gonzales and Renaud Letang, Let It Die became one of the biggest Canadian releases of 2004 before being released by Cherrytree/Interscope as Feist’s debut album in the U.S. Gold certified in France and Platinum Certified in Canada, Let It Die was nominated for three Juno Awards in 2005, and won two: Best Alternative Album and Best New Artist. In 2012, NOW Magazine ranked Let It Die No. 4 on its list of The 50 Best Toronto Albums Ever.
Feist will be performing a short run of tour dates in September to commemorate Let It Die’s reissue, including headlining the legendary Olympia Theatre in Paris, where her career began. Full tour dates are here.
