Fleet Foxes’ North American tour is underway and the band will play at the Coachella Festival this weekend and next weekend. The extensive headline run also includes Boston Calling, Shaky Knees, Pitchfork, and Panorama Festivals, as well as two nights at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, the first of which is sold out; tickets are still available for the second. The full tour itinerary is below. Today the band released a vertical video directed by Vidanoise with animation by David Hession and Rosie Holtom for Crack-Up track “If You Need To, Keep Time On Me.” View the video here or here.

“The vertical video format provided an opportunity to make a compositionally different visual for 'If You Need To, Keep Time On Me,'’ stated Director and Animator David Hession. “Taking advantage of the aspect ratio. This lent itself to the constantly evolving, impossible landscape, with each scene an expression of time passing and how time is measured through nature, as majestically delicate as the song itself.”

Next week, on Record Store Day, April 21, 2018, Fleet Foxes release a special edition 7” featuring a unique recording of “Crack-Up” performed with renowned Icelandic women’s choir Graduale Nobli at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, as well as an intimate version of “In The Morning” recorded live at the 2017 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
Fleet Foxes released Crack-Up last June. Following a six-year hiatus, the band delivered an internationally beloved full-length album, sold out notable venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Hollywood Bowl, performed on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert as well as CBS This Morning, and earned year-end recognition from Esquire,Consequence of SoundPasteUproxxVulture, and more.

“On Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, Robin Pecknold was as powerful as any performer who’s ever played the Bowl’s stage. He was a flash of folk and light and feeling. He was gentleness masked in fury, or maybe the other way around. ” - Uproxx

“Triumphant Return… Despite the large venue, Pecknold’s vocals were able to reach those in the far back, highlighted by the band’s impressive musicianship… It all coalesced to create a rich, ethereal setting.”
Billboard

“The culmination of a two-hour high-wire act full of intricate, often breathtaking music. Judging by the flushed, smiling faces of the faithful as they file questly out, one that’s been worth the six-year wait.”
Q Magazine

"The show felt like it had disregarded the laws of physics, with each perfect transition between songs threading time together, making you feel like there was no such thing as an end." - Seattle Weekly

"They brought with them everything fans love about Fleet Foxes: layered harmonies shepherded by Robin Pecknold's still-incredible voice, pastoral lyrics, and an almost religious-seeming intensity that made the Crystal feel like a cathedral."
Portland Mercury

"Bigger and better after hiatus." - Washington Post

"Tuesday night's show showcased the immense talent of everyone involved in the group for a truly engaging live experience." - New York Daily News

"The six-year wait seemed almost worth it for the chance to spend a short while in the company of Pecknold once again." - Consequence of Sound

"Pecknold’s ultra-pure voice and timeless, picturesque lyrics soared through the hall all night, raising goosebumps at the peak moments in beloved ‘oldies’ like ‘Ragged Wood,’ ‘He Doesn’t Know Why,’ ‘Helplessness Blues’ and especially ‘Mykonos.’”
Las Vegas Weekly
