2017 marks Wire's 40th year as a band, and not ones to indulge in nostalgia, they have announced a brand new album, entitled Silver/Lead. Above, you can check out lead single 'Short Elevated Period', which captures the band in as strong form as ever, providing a somewhat accessible introduction to the new album.

Silver/Lead is the band's 15th studio album and will be followed by an extensive set of tour dates to be announced later in the year. It is out on March 31 via the band's own pinkflag label.
