The David Lynch Foundation has launched its first ever sweepstakes campaign with experience-driven fundraising platform Omaze - fans can donate as little as $10 to be entered to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience with David Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan at the sold out Festival of Disruption happening in Los Angeles October 7th-9th, 2016. All proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation - PRESS HERE to enter and PRESS HERE to view the announcement video featuring David Lynch. The sweepstakes closes September 28.
The winner will receive the following experience for themselves and a friend:
- Attend the Festival with VIP (Director's Circle) tickets
- Meet David Lynch at the VIP party
- Coffee with Kyle MacLachlan
- Round trip flights to Los Angeles and accommodations at the Ace Hotel through the weekend
The first ever Festival of Disruption will
be an immersive experience, featuring David Lynch's favorite musicians,
visual artists, virtual reality creators, choreographers, DJs, and more
to raise consciousness and funds through a two day event at the Ace Hotel and Theatre in downtown L.A. The festival will feature:
*Performances by Robert
Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters, St. Vincent, Rhye, Jon
Hopkins, The Music of Twin Peaks with Angelo Badalamenti, Sky Ferreira,
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Xiu Xiu and Chrysta Bell
*Talks by Frank Gehry, Mel Brooks, Kyle MacLachlan & Laura Dern, Blondie's Debbie Harry & Chris Stein
*Photography exhibits by David Lynch (curated by Kayne Griffin Corcoran gallery) and Chris Stein
*Virtual reality experiences by Chris Milk, a new dance piece choreographed by Ryan Heffington and DJ sets by Questlove and KCRW's Jason Bentley
*screenings of rarely seen Lynch short films and classics
100% of
the proceeds from the festival benefit the David Lynch Foundation,
whose mission is reducing toxic stress and trauma among at-risk
populations, including victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering
from PTSD, and underserved urban youth, through the evidence-based
Transcendental Meditation technique. The Foundation has reached more
than 500,000 people since founding in 2005. For additional information
