New Album Wild Nights

"Sonically it's indie-pop edged out with a feeling of questioning melancholy, and just a smidgen of menace, and from the second they hit the screen you wanna be part of their gang"--NOISEY
"Young Girls," a sunny-day indie shuffler that flows perfectly in time for the gentle winds of spring" --FADER
PINS have just released the new video for their single 'Young Girls' with an exclusive premiere on NOISEY. Directed by Amy Watson, the video perfectly captures what it's like to be bored in a dull town and searching for excitement. It features the four-piece band roaming the streets of Manchester and fooling around. "I wanted to play around with the usual "girls just wanna have fun" type of music video. You know - friendship, solidarity, road trips and all the usual tropes of girly bonding. I wanted to take that wholesomeness and push it to a weird place," said Watson. This "weird place" is reflected in a Thelma & Louise style twist. PINS' Faith Vern said "The Young Girls video is the tale of 4 girls, thick as thieves. They are dreamers, they are bold and they are bonded by a secret. All for one and one for all"
Recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho De La Luna with Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal) and Hayden Scott, and mixed in New York with Ben Baptie at Atomic Sound NYC, PINS second album Wild Nights will be released through Bella Union on June 9th.
Accumulating high praise and a growing fanbase for their debut album Girls Like Us, along with packed out headline shows and tour dates supporting the likes of Crocodiles, Sleigh Bells, Warpaint, The Growlers and The Fall, tight-knit girl gang PINS have had quite a two years.
Following on from their first West Coast tour and performances at New York's CMJ festival at the end of last year,PINS have just supported Sleater-Kinney, Wire and Drenge on their UK/EU tours. They'll be returning to the US in June, including an appearance at Northside Festival.
