Announces US Summer Tour
with Cold Cave
This June, Boyd Rice / NON will be joining recent collaborators Cold Cave on their US/Canadian tour beginning in Los Angeles on June 14. This tour marks Boyd’s first North American performances since a New York show earlier this year in support of Back to Mono, his first album since 2002’s Children Of The Black Sun.
Released last November, Back to Monofeatures tracks recorded and produced by Wes Eisold of Cold Cave, as well as a new version of 1978’s pioneering noise track, “Watusi. The album encompasses brand new recordings, unreleased studio and live recordings from the late 70s, plus a cover of The Normal’s “Warm Leatherette”.
Self-proclaimed as his return to his noise-roots, Rice explains, “Back to Mono was my attempt to demonstrate that the genre I created still had room to grow; that it could still be re-imagined.”
Following the success of this album, Physical Evidence, a compilation of Boyd Rice’s works produced between 1977-1982 will be released this Fall via Mute.
