The raw and rumbling anthem traces the steady unraveling of once-shared ideals, simultaneously channeling disillusionment and defiant hope. “It’s a snapshot of what we’re living through in 2026,” says Howard. “I look around and wonder how we got to a place where there’s so much strain and so little support. I mean, it shouldn’t be impossible to take off work so you can bring your child to the doctor—that’s actually insane. My hope is that one day people will hear this song and say, ‘Yeah, shit was crazy back then, but we made it through.’” It’s a heart-wrenching plea for a way of life too far out of reach for most, but it’s also a call for major change from rock ‘n’ roll’s fieriest trio. The trio —Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell—will hit the road this month on an extensive North American headline tour. Launching on April 16 in Richmond, VA, at Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront, the tour takes them around the world, notably stopping at Radio City Music Hall on September 2 for the first time. The tour concludes on September 25 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. This jaunt features support from Joy Oladokun, Mon Rovîa, Lamont Landers, JJ Grey & Mofro, The Secret Sisters, Dove Ellis, Billy Allen + The Pollies, Tyler Ballgame, Liam Kazar, Hannah Cohen, and Emily King as well as special guests Nathaniel Rateliff, and Mavis Staples on select dates. Plus, Alabama Shakes will co-headline four shows with the Tedeschi Trucks Band in the Midwest. The band will perform at several major festivals, including High Water Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. In addition to their headline and festival dates, they will appear with Zach Bryan on July 25 in Eugene, OR, and September 19 in Dover, DE. They notably return to the UK and Europe for the first time in over a decade, with a headline performance at Alexandra Palace in London on July 3, as well as additional dates across the UK, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The four-time GRAMMY® nominated band has garnered billions of streams, and achieved worldwide multiplatinum success. Their chart-topping Sound & Color earned three GRAMMY® Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, and a prestigious Album of the Year nomination. Hailed by The New York Times as an “unstoppable force of nature” while Pitchfork credits the band for “[inventing] their own genesis,” Alabama Shakes have solidified their place as one of today’s most influential rock bands. Last summer, they unleashed their single “Another Life,” which has already tallied millions of streams, hit #1 at Triple A radio, and topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart. Marking the group’s first original release in over a decade—and their official debut for Island Records—it paves the way for their highly anticipated third full-length in 2026 and first LP since 2015. Listen to “Another Life” HERE. ABOUT ALABAMA SHAKES: Alabama Shakes have quietly emerged as the 21st century’s preeminent rock powerhouse whose uncanny brew of alternative, blues, soul, and roots is as intoxicating as it is inimitable. The band has garnered four GRAMMY® Awards, piled up billions of streams, reached multiplatinum heights, and performed to sold-out arenas and amphitheaters far and wide. Rising out of Athens, AL, their full-length debut Boys & Girls went Platinum, boosted by the likes of the Gold-certified “Hold On”—which Rolling Stone named “The #1 Best Song of 2012.” In its wake, the seminal Platinum-certified Sound & Color bowed in at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum as well. It received a GRAMMY® Award in “Best Alternative Music Album” while the Platinum-certified “Don’t Wanna Fight” took home “Best Rock Performance” and “Best Rock Song.” It’s no wonder Pitchfork touted the record among “The 200 Best Albums of the 2010s.” Featured on The American Epic Sessions in 2017, “Killer Diller Blues” earned the GRAMMY® for “Best American Roots Performance.” Alabama Shakes have become firmly embedded within the fabric of culture, contributing music to Academy® Award-winning films such as Silver Linings Playbook and Dallas Buyers Club and performing everywhere from The White House to SNL. Taking flight once more following a decade-long hiatus, the band’s fire burned brighter than ever in 2025 with a major headline tour and their first new music in ten years, beginning with “Another Life.” TOUR DATES 4/16 Richmond, VA Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront ~ 4/17 Asheville, NC ExploreAsheville.com Arena ~ 4/18 Charleston, SC High Water Festival 4/22 Memphis, TN Grind City Amphitheater + 4/24 Atlanta, GA Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park + 4/25 Raleigh, NC Red Hat Amphitheater + 4/26 St. Augustine, FL St. Augustine Amphitheatre • 4/28 Tallahassee, FL Adderley Amphitheater • 4/29 Boca Raton, FL Sunset Cove Amphitheater • 4/30 Clearwater, FL The BayCare Sound • 5/2 New Orleans, LA New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 5/24 Morrison, CO Red Rocks Amphitheatre # 5/25 Morrison, CO Red Rocks Amphitheatre # 5/27 Reno, NV Grand Sierra Resort 5/29 Berkeley, CA The Greek Theatre @ 5/30 Berkeley, CA The Greek Theatre @ 6/12 Tuscaloosa, AL Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater % 6/13 Manchester, TN Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival 7/1 Leeds, UK Millennium Square & 7/3 London, UK Alexandra Palace* 7/5 Ghent, BE Gent Jazz Festival 7/7 Lucca, IT Summer Festival 7/9 Lisbon, PT NOS Alive Festival 7/10 Bilbao, ES BBK Live 7/11 Madrid, ES Noches del Botanico§ 7/24 Tacoma, WA Dune Peninsula– 7/25 Eugene, OR Autzen Stadium^ 7/26 Vancouver, BC Freedom Mobile Arch– 7/28 Boise, ID Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden– 7/29 Salt Lake City, UT Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre – 7/31 Jackson Hole, WY Snow King Mountain– 8/1 Jackson Hole, WY Snow King Mountain– 8/21 Highland Park, IL Ravinia ≠ 8/22 Indianapolis, IN Ruoff Music Center « 8/23 St Louis, MO Hollywood Casino Amphitheater « 8/25 Grand Rapids, MI Acrisure Amphitheater « 8/26 Cincinnati, OH Riverbend Music Center « 8/28 Minneapolis, MN Surly Brewing Co ¡ 8/29 Minneapolis, MN Surly Brewing Co ¡ 8/30 Madison, WI Breese Stevens Field ¡ 9/1 Bridgeport, CT Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater¡ 9/2 New York, NY Radio City Music Hall ¡ 9/4 Bethel, NY Bethel Woods Center for the Arts > 9/5 Lenox, MA Tanglewood > 9/6 Shelburne, VT Concerts on the Green at Shelburne Museum º 9/15 Montreal, QB MTelus º 9/18 East Aurora, NY Borderland Festival 9/19 Dover, DE The Woodlands^ 9/25 Santa Barbara, CA Santa Barbara Bowl* ~ With Special Guest Joy Oladokun + With Special Guests Mon Rovîa • With Special Guest Lamont Landers # With Special Guests JJ Grey & Mofro @ With Special Guest Nathaniel Rateliff % With Special Guest The Secret Sisters & With Special Guest Dove Ellis * With Special Guest Tyler Ballgame § With Special Guest Joel Culpepper – With Special Guest Billy Allen + The Pollies ≠ With Special Guest Liam Kazar «Co-Headline with Tedeschi Trucks Band ¡ With Special Guest Hannah Cohen > With Special Guest Mavis Staples º With Special Guest Emily King ^ Supporting Zach Bryan ### Follow Alabama Shakes: Website I Instagram I Facebook l TikTok |
