NEW DATES CONFIRMED FOR THIS FALL “THE GOLD RUSH TOUR” CONTINUES THIS MONTH ![]() photo credit: Dana Trippe // Gold Rush Tour admat July 8, 2025—Acclaimed indie-pop band Lucius have released the official music video for their recently released track “Joyride.” The track is an infectious summer anthem recorded as part of the sessions for their new self-titled album, which Rolling Stone calls “the best album of their career”. In celebration of the release, the official music video features the band and their fans behind the wheel with the windows down — furry friends included, of course. Watch the video HERE, and stream “Joyride” HERE. Of the track, Lucius’ Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, share, “If our album Lucius is about home, ‘Joyride’ is the lazy Sunday ride around the neighborhood. It was produced by our bandmate and drummer Dan Molad, and written with our friend Oliver Hill (who also wrote on ‘Old Tape’).” Additional critical acclaim for Lucius: “Killer grooves, ear worm melodies, and their voices are just so transfixing”—NPR Music “the vocalists have unlocked a completely new gear on this upcoming self-titled record of theirs”—Paste “sweet harmonies and dark emotions alchemised into heartfelt pop”—MOJO “the silky balm of their close-fitting voices is supported throughout by Pete Lalish‘s warm guitar tones and immaculate production”—UNCUT The EP was produced by Lucius’ Dan Molad and marks a full circle moment for the group (Laessig, Wolfe, Molad and Peter Lalish) as they return to their roots, writing and recording without seeking outside influence—their first time doing so since their debut over a decade ago. Just in time for the official start of the summer season, the track boasts a summery vibe that makes you want to roll your windows down and sing along. If you listen closely, you can hear the giggle of one of the band members’ babies. Known for their captivating live performances, Lucius will continue their “The Gold Rush Tour” next month, which includes stops at Los Angeles’ The Wiltern, Chicago’s The Salt
Lucius, their fourth studio album, follows the band’s acclaimed 2022 record, Second Nature, which was produced by Brandi Carlile and Dave Cobb. Released to overwhelming acclaim, the Los Angeles Times praised, “dazzling…Second Nature mines an ’80s-pop sound with lush synths and sleek disco grooves under the women’s laser-guided vocals,” while Variety declared, “with Second Nature…they’re no longer 20 feet or even a couple of yards from stardom, but re-claiming the spotlight for themselves” and Relix proclaimed, “stunning…a 10-song, smart-pop masterpiece.” Most recently, Lucius celebrated the 10-year-anniversary of their debut album, Wildewoman, with the release of Wildewoman (The New Recordings)—an expanded version of the record that features new versions of the 12 original tracks, including collaborations with friends Carlile, Marcus Mumford and Devon Gilfillian. ![]() “Joyride” video still LUCIUS NEWLY CONFIRMED DATES October 3—New Orleans, LA —Tipitina’s October 7—Omaha, NE—Slowdown October 8—Lawrence, KS—Liberty Hall October 10—Oklahoma City, OK—Tower Theatre October 11—Dallas, TX—Granada Theater October 14—Bentonville, AR—The Momentary October 16—Louisville, KY—Headliners November 22—San Diego, CA—Belly Up LUCIUS CONFIRMED TOUR DATES July 16—Portsmouth, NH—Prescott Park# July 18—Trumansburg, NY—Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival July 19—Ottawa, ON—Ottawa Bluesfest July 20—Guelph, ON—Hillside Festival July 22—Deerfield, MA—Tree House Brewing Company+ (LOW TICKETS) July 23—Portland, ME—The State Theatre July 24—Bar Harbor, ME—Criterion Theatre^ July 27—Newport, RI—Newport Folk Festival (SOLD OUT) August 3—New Orleans, LA—Woldenburg Park~ August 4—Spartanburg, SC—Piedmont Fairgrounds~ August 5—Richmond, VA—Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront (SOLD OUT)~ August 7—Burlington, VT—Champlain Valley Exposition~ August 8—Forest Hills, NY—Forest Hills Stadium* August 9—Forest Hills, NY—Forest Hills Stadium* September 26—Columbia, MD—All Things Go Music Festival October 3—New Orleans, LA—Tipitina’s< October 5—Austin, TX—Austin City Limits Music Festival October 7—Omaha, NE—Slowdown< October 8—Lawrence, KS—Liberty Hall< October 10—Oklahoma City, OK—Tower Theatre< October 11—Dallas, TX—Granada Theater< October 12—Austin, TX—Austin City Limits Music Festival October 14—Bentonville, AR—The Momentary October 16—Louisville, KY—Headliners October 17—Indianapolis, IN—The Vogue October 18—Chicago, IL—The Salt Shed November 11—Phoenix, AZ—Crescent Ballroom November 12—Santa Fe, NM—The Lensic November 14—Denver, CO—Ogden Theatre November 15—Salt Lake City, UT—The Depot November 17—Seattle, WA—Showbox (SOLD OUT) November 18—Portland, OR—Wonder Ballroom (LOW TICKETS) November 20—San Francisco, CA—The Warfield November 21—Los Angeles, CA—The Wiltern November 22—San Diego, CA—Belly Up #with Fantastic Cat +with special guest Neal Francis ~Wolfe and Laessig on Mumford & Sons’ Railroad Revival Tour *supporting Mumford & Sons ^with special guests Spencer Albee and Zachary Bence |
