Warm Human has officially released her latest single, “Mercy Me,” with an accompanying music video -watch here. The electronic-leaning anthem is the third song from her upcoming album, Hamartia, slated for release October 11th via Chicago based label mainstay Sooper Records. Warm Human’s introspective songwriting blends moments of melancholia and vulnerability with uncertainty about the future and a fixation on one’s own flaws, while her jazzy vocals float over the track’s glitchy break-beat and pulsating synth-lines courtesy of co-producer Conor Mackey. Directed by the artist Meredith Johnston and Carol Brandt, the “Mercy Me” music video draws heavy inspiration from early 2000’s horror thrillers, depicting the LA based songstress running from her inner demons inside an eerie suburban home. The new single comes as follow up to last month’s release of “My Moods!!,” an adventurous indie-pop break up anthem.  About “Mercy Me” Warm Human says, "Mercy Me was written when I found out I had a massive fibroid that required abdominal surgery that could affect whether or not I can have children in the future. I had just been given terrifying news, and the isolation and loneliness I felt walking down the street and see everyone having a normal good day, laughing and getting by just fine was excruciating. It's a plea to something or someone to take this situation away from me, while ruminating on whether or not I karmically deserved the mess I'm in because of how I acted in my past, or if I would even be suitable as a mother because of that past."
