New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ achieved their highest first-week sales debut with their fourth full-length album, New World Depression. This week, the album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Independent Album Chart, #2 on Hip-Hop Album Chart and #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart behind Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Don Toliver and Morgan Wallen. It marks their fourth consecutive studio album to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, following their 2022 album Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation, which debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 - ALBUM HERE.

The duo's raw, unfiltered lyrics on the 13-track release narrate the struggle for authenticity in a world that often feels cold and indifferent. An unapologetic exploration of life's darker sides, resonating with those who've felt out of place or battled inner demons. The lead single from New World Depression, titled "Us Vs Them," earned the group their first appearance into the Billboard Hot 100 Song Chart. The song navigates themes of fame, self-destruction, and the relentless search for identity. It has now gained over 50 million streams on Spotify. Stereogum describes, “It’s directly inspired by ’90s underground rap, of both the backpack and the Southern mixtape varieties, and it’s effective on both fronts. These guys can really rap.” - LISTEN HERE.

This week, $uicideboy$ joined Theo Von for a rare interview on his highly popular podcast, This Past Weekend. Theo introduced them as “the most requested guests of all time” on the show. ABOUT $UICIDEBOY$:

$uicideboy$ draws light from the deepest corners of darkness, addiction, hopelessness, and pain. The New Orleans-bred duo of cousins—Scott Arcenaux, Jr. a.k.a. $crim and Aristos Petrou a.k.a. Ruby da Cherry—translate a fight against demons into a clever, caustic, and corrosively catchy apocalyptic vision of hip-hop pierced with punk intensity and laced with Southern flows.

The world was first introduced to $uicideboy$ in 2014. Since then, as trailblazers of trap-metal and punk-rap, they have amassed over 25 billion collective streams, securing their position among the Top 100 Most Streamed Artists Of All Time. Their numerous projects have earned multiple RIAA certifications and debuts among the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Some accomplishments include the platinum-certified “…And To Those I Love, Thanks For Sticking Around” and gold-certified tracks such as “Carrollton,” “2nd Hand,” “Runnin’ Thru The 7th With My Woadies,” “Paris,” and “Kill Yourself (Part III).”

Moreover, their annual Grey Day Tour, which started in 2019, has emerged as a standout and one of the largest summer tours, uniting rap and hardcore genres, playing in arenas and amphitheaters worldwide. According to Billboard Magazine, the tour helped land $uicideboy$ in the Top 20 rankings of highest-grossing hip-hop touring acts of all time.

In addition to accolades from Billboard, XXL, Revolver, Alternative Press, Complex, and others, they have established their label G*59 Record$ as a hub for independent talent, boasting artists like Night Lovell, Germ, Shakewell, Ramirez, and more. In 2024, they will unveil their fourth full-length album, New World Depression, and launch another global Grey Day Tour.
