(19 September) Maisie Peters took to Instagram last night to share the news that Gretta Ray would be joining her on the UK & Ireland leg of her upcoming tour. Dates include a sold-out night at the OVO Arena Wembley with tickets remaining for only a few recently announced shows in Newcastle, Belfast, Nottingham and Liverpool.

"From FaceTiming everyday of lockdown dreaming about the day we could tour together, to now getting to play our sophomore albums one after the other this Fall, I couldn't be happier to be bringing my Australian big sister with me," Maisie wrote in a story post.

Gretta Ray is currently in the middle of her own headline tour at home in Australia. Playing to sold-out crowds, singing every word back to her from her month-old second record Positive Spin, Gretta is having the time of her life getting back into touring. In this clip posted to X (Twitter) you can see fans going wild for album deep cut "You've Already Won".

Released last month Positive Spin is a pure pop project that comes to you bathed in golden light, a hazy sunset of love and heartbreak, growth and understanding which has subsequently been praised by the likes of CLASH MagazineNMEThe Australian and The Line Of Best Fit.

On emotive album closer "America Forever" future tour-mate Maisie can be heard on back vocal duties alongside the track's co-writer singer/songwriter Carol Ades

Making pop music this good isn’t easy - there’s a commitment to and understanding of the form, the way to capture an audience’s hearts as well as bodies that comes from hours of performing, creating energy and connection on stage.

Ray feels entirely at home in herself with this album, making and embracing her best and most honest work yet: “Being in pop music and being a woman in pop music… your perception of where you’re at can get very warped. I’m starting to really settle into my mid-20s… I feel stronger now than I ever have… I am so much more equipped to do the job now, and to be this person now… I feel really empowered by the knowledge that I have gotten, over the years of experience that I have had in this industry”.

Watch Gretta Ray perform tracks from Positive Spin live in the UK & Ireland this autumn.
