Legendary Spanish ambient composer Suso Sáiz is playing his first US shows ever this month

Performing in churches in NYC, Chicago and LA, presented by Reflections

Ambient music legend Suso Sáiz joins Reflections for a very special run of events this spring, arriving from his native Spain for his first-ever performances in the United States. Reflections is pairing him each night with a different opening artist and lighting designer, all presented within the walls of these sublime spaces of worship. Don’t miss this bliss…

At the forefront of Spain’s experimental music scene since the late 1970s, Suso Sáiz is an imaginative and subtle guitar player whose compositions manifest a unique form of musical hypnosis. Sáiz has produced more than 100 records for other artists, playing and collaborating with Steve Roach, Jorge Reyes, Michael Brook, Stephan Micus, Christian Fennesz, Arve Henriksen, Robert Rich, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Gigi Masin, and Suzanne Kraft. Sáiz has released more than 20 solo albums, including Odisea (2016) a compilation of his early solo works and unreleased tracks, Rainworks (2017) and Nothing Is Objective (2019), all through esteemed Dutch record label Music From Memory.

More about Reflections:

Here's to new beginnings, new portals, and new phases! We're excited to announce Reflections, a collective offering of events focused on sound, light, and architecture. Reflections is the new indoor sibling organization to floating which presents outdoor events in Los Angeles.

For their inaugural spring 2023 season, Reflections is visiting six US cities, pairing legends of atmospheric music with stunning light shows in non-traditional spaces.

For the past year, the team behind Reflections presented a range of events under the name Ambient Church. But since the spring 2023 season was announced, Ambient Church leadership shifted to a new owner and the teams have parted ways. Now, as Reflections, they will be collaborating with the same world-renowned musicians, venues, and designers as we did before, bringing the same level of artistry to our ever-growing community.
