Röyksopp’s retro-tinged, euphoric dancefloor filler Feel It feat. Maurissa Rose is out today, following yesterday’s slice of chilled pop Just Wanted To Know feat. Astrid S, taken from the final part of the acclaimed Profound Mysteries series

“Profound Mysteries is - among many things - an esoteric tribute to some of the genres and time periods that has forged Röyksopp.” the band states. “‘Feel It’ is (specifically) a nod to the danceable, eclectic blend of musical styles, which originated on the Ibiza club scene in the mid 80s and early 90s, commonly referred to as Balearic beats. The track itself is a house-influenced Italo-dub, blending genres in a ‘if it works, it works’ aesthetic. An approach that’s always been very dear to us.”

Röyksopp have just announced the 2023 ‘True Electric’ EU Tour starting in Sweden on February 16th, including dates at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on February 19th and Tempodrom in Berlin on February 23rd. The ‘True Electric’ tour will be the legendary duo’s first tour since 2017. This year Röyksopp premiered their audacious live show to festivals in Norway, flamboyant costumes included, reminding everyone why they’re one of the world’s must see live artists. Watch the trailer.

Profound Mysteries III will be released on November 18th, 2022 and features guest appearances from Alison Goldfrapp (The Night is currently playlisted on BBC 6Music), Susanne SundførJamie Irrepressible, Pixx, and the aforementioned Maurissa Rose and Astrid S.

Speaking about Profound Mysteries III, Svein Berge & Torbjørn Brundtland said it “... concludes our triple album endeavor. Beneath its golden, shimmering sheen, lie levels of ambiguity and contrast; the sweet and the harrowing, the wonderful and the wrong. We are human, we dream.”
