Y in Dub at the Coventry Cathedral Ruins. The EP came about as a result of Terry Hall inviting The Pop Group & Dennis Bovell to perform at his Home Sessions Festival as part of Coventry UK City of Culture 202. With all the magnitude of the band’s original debut release from 1979,

Y – with the addition of “She Is Beyond Good And Evil” and “3”38” – to create a collection of dub versions that match the prodigious intensity of their source material. The album reflects the enterprising originality of the dub and reggae music that inspired The Pop Group as well as the legendary ingenuity of their longstanding collaborator Dennis Bovell, recently awarded an MBE for his services to music.
