Trailblazing band Hunx & His Punx, led by artist and DIY / queer icon Seth Bogart and Shannon Shaw (Shannon & The Clams), has announced a series of tour dates for 2022 in addition to their first new single in almost a decade. The upcoming dates will also mark their first live performance in over three years and their first proper tour since 2014. Hunx & His Punx will support the iconic band Bikini Kill and bring their energy to stops in Tucson, Albuquerque, El Paso, Austin, Dallas, a headlining show in Los Angeles, and an appearance at the Mosswood Meltdown Festival in Oakland alongside John Waters, Bikini Kill, Kim Gordon, The Linda Lindas, and more. Arriving via Sub Pop Records, the forthcoming Hunx & His Punx single will give fans a taste of the band’s unique sound, following their last album “Street Punk” released in 2013. The San Francisco native band first made waves throughout the music scene starting in the late 2000s, culminating in the release of their 2011 debut album Too Young To Be In Love. Hunx followed up with 2013’s Street Punk, which garnered praise from Pitchfork, Consequence, and Paste. The albums’ musical influence combined with Bogart’s vibrant visuals and presence emphasized and strengthened the connection between queer culture and the rock scene, on top of creating a sonic-visual code that is distinctly Hunx & His Punx.
