Rising Nashville-based singer-songwriter Lou Ridley offers a peek into her upcoming EP with a powerful intro and visual for “Hellfire.” An ode to her grandfather’s favorite curse word, “Hellfire” narrates how quickly the blurred lines between love and hate in an unhealthy relationship can be crossed; and the strength it takes to reclaim your power. Reminiscing, Lou states I remember one night watching my ex sleep and thinking to myself: if he continues to treat me this poorly one of us is going to end up dead. I can’t let that person be me.” The Director and Cinematographer Bethany Reed captures a seemingly dazed Lou riding a mechanical bull and swaying alone on a red-lighted dancefloor in an empty Cotton Eyed Joes club. The intro is the first release from her forthcoming 6-track EP, Angel/Outlaw coming December 2nd which also wields a ChopNotSlop remix of the track by DJ Candlestick

Born in a small town right outside of Houston, Texas, now Nashville-based Lou Ridley has had a passionate affinity for music since her early childhood and attributes her creative inspiration to her strong Texas roots and upbringing. Her sound is refreshingly unique and draws from personal experiences of tragedy and triumph. She recently released her first single of 2021 titled “Hometown” which received praise from Houstonia MagazineSounds Like Nashville, and was placed on Spotify Fresh Finds Playlist. She released her debut EP cowgirls don't cry in 2019 which featured the soulful track “attention of any kind.” In addition to producing, performing, and writing, Ridley takes pride in being a human rights activist and lends her time to be in service to organizations that work with those struggling with substance abuse or homelessness and feels that being in service to others is her life's purpose. She aspires to lead by example and use her talents to break down doors for others and push past any boundaries of what is viewed as possible for female artists across the board.

With a clear vision in front of her, Lou is swiftly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Stay tuned for more to come from the young songstress.
