“…an all-out assault for the dance floors.” – Earmilk "Meditative, jazzlike and thoroughly trance-endental, it's a further testament to the genius of all parties involved." – PopMatters Chris Liebing today releases the latest installment of his remix series, Burn Slow Remixes Pt. II. Listen here. The tracks from the remix series all originate from Liebing’s Mute debut, Burn Slow, and launched with Brazilian techno artist ANNA – a favorite of Liebling’s on the dancefloor – and her remix of “Trilogy”. The EP includes remixes and reworkings from Icelandic producer Bjarki, labelmate Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle, Carter Tutti Void, Chris & Cosey), Nicolas Bougaïeff – who recently announced his debut for Mute – and Art Department, who tackle “Card House”. Burn Slow Remixes Pt. I, featuring Mark Broom and Dubfire reworkings, came out earlier this year. The Burn Slow project was originally born from a series of remixes, including Depeche Mode’s "Going Backwards" mix and Goldfrapp’s "Everything Is Never Enough". The Burn Slow project looks set to continue through 2020. Liebing has embraced the recent lockdown and launched a series of online events that include his #alonetogether DJ sets and a regular panel conversation, DJs and Beers, with Dubfire and Truncate. Tune in here and don’t miss his vegan cooking tips!
