Adult Swim Singles have shared a new song from Noveller (the recording moniker of Sarah Lipstate) as the eighteenth entry in the 2019-2020 program. "Effektology" arrives ahead of the guitarist's forthcoming album Arrow and follows her turn recording and touring on the most recent album from Iggy Pop, who has described her solo work as "symphonies for people that don't have a lot of time." The new single opens like a vivid view of the night sky, before the darkness settles in and envelopes the listener, quieting their racing mind. The song's vivid and cinematic atmosphere act as a sonic reflection of Lipstate's new home on the edge of the canyons of Los Angeles, with a rolling expanse in front of her and an urban sprawl over her shoulder.
