Sinead Harnett’s debut album ‘Lessons In Love’ releases today via Bad Music.
A singer-songwriter with a remarkable back catalogue – features on records by Rudimental, Disclosure, Kaytranada, Snakehips and more helped solidify her reputation as one of the UK’s most impressive vocal talents – Sinead has spent much of the last 12 months bound to the studio working on ‘Lessons In Love’.
Written around the core theme of ‘love’, Sinead recalls personal experiences to unpack just how much love – in all its guises – has impacted her own life and the people closest to her. Across 12 powerful new tracks, she also emerges as an emotional and purposeful songwriter – and one totally at peace with herself. “The more I love, the more I learn about its magic, its importance and its lessons”, explains Sinead. “In every song, there is a lesson. But most importantly, in every song, there is love.”
Including the singles ‘Lessons’, ‘By Myself’, ‘Leo Bear’ and latest album drop ‘Pulling Away’ featuring US singer-songwriter Gallant (Annie Mac’s Track Of The Week on BBC Radio 1 on release in August), ‘Lessons In Love’ also cements a shimmering, sultry RnB sound that Sinead has been working hard at making her own. Collaborating with long-time producers JD. Reid (‘Lessons’) and Monro (‘All That You Are’, ‘Too Good For A Bad Thing’, ‘Him Too’), as well as coveted songwriters like Grades, Stint and Cass Lowe, ‘Lessons In Love’ lands as Sinead’s brightest and most accomplished work yet.
“I never planned the way this album would take shape and I didn’t know the title or concept until I’d chosen the songs”, Sinead reflects. “Up until now, I hadn’t even realised what my purpose is as a writer. But now, standing in front of this project I see that I’ve done everything out of love.”

To coincide with the release of ‘Lessons In Love’, Sinead has also announced an extensive new US tour. Kicking off at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on October 29, Sinead will take in a further eight dates across the US, before bringing the tour to a close at Warsaw in Brooklyn on November 13.
