WARM DRAG SHARE NEW VIDEO "SLEEPOVER"
ON TOUR NOW: LA, NYC, PHL, CHICAGO & MORE
S/T DEBUT OUT NOW ON IN THE RED
Warm Drag stun with new video "Sleepover". Brooklyn Vegan debuted it describing the
duo's sound as "cinematic... pulling from Italian soundtracks, freak-beat, krautrock, psych and more." "Sleepover" recounts Paul's morbid, real life story of when he found a Craigslist renter dead in his apartment after overdosing on Dust-off. Sang as a love song, "Sleepover" shifts from a tender lullaby, into a spaced out, noisy solo.
Warm Drag's debut (out now on In The Red) marries Vashti's love for the genre-defying genius of Blondie's 'Parallel Lines' to Paul's love of Bomb Squad's production styles. Vashti sings, the way Siouxsie sang power, the way Nico sang allure, the way Patti sang sex. Paul makes the noise with two Akai MPC 1000 samplers. Beats that pummel or seduce, usually simultaneously, synths that soar like Morricone or pump like DAF, and gloriously twangy guitars that clang and echo like Duane Eddy spiraling down a k-hole. Read more about the duo, the album's concepts and creation in their recent PAPER feature here.
The band kick off their tour tonight with a hometown record release show at The Echo. They hit NYC, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and more next week. Check below for a full list of dates.

THE NEW YORK TIMES' CARYN GANZ
"Their cut-up collage of electronic stomp-music embodied everything people were searching for that summer. There were just two of them but the sound was magnificent. Vashti was a revelation and Paul looked tough and cool and preoccupied in just the right way."
