The Limiñanas have unveiled a new video for "Pink Flamingos," taken from their recently released album Twisting The Shadow People. The new album was recorded and produced at The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe's studio in Berlin and released on Because Music.
“Sounds as if they have stepped out of Quentin Tarantino’s dreams…. a 60s-saturated stunner” - Uncut
“Garagey, soundtrack-infused psych, a swirl of pounding drums, spoken French, baroque melodies” - Mojo
"The Limiñanas stick to what they know — The Velvet Underground, Serge Gainsbourg, JAMC fuzz, ’60s soundtracks — but it always sounds effortless and cool”
- Brooklyn Vegan
"Few acts play so successfully with the juxtaposition of dark and light as France’s The Limiñanas...It’s a ravishing, sexy and entirely European sound, albeit one strongly influenced by American acts such as the Velvet Underground, Phil Spector and ‘60s girl groups. Add a splash of Jesus and Mary Chain, Ennio Morricone soundtracks, the Raveonettes and even early New Order, then season with vocals in French, Italian and English for a decidedly artsy approach that never feels studied or pretentious." (4 Stars)
- American Songwriter
