New Las Rosas LP Shadow By Your Side  Out Today via Greenway Records (stream / buy) On Tour Through June

Brooklyn's Las Rosas has released its sophomore LP, Shadow By Your Side, via Greenway Records. Called an "excellent second album of compelling tunes" by the Associated Press, it's available on all formats here, and is streaming in full via Talkhouse -- along with some insight from lead singer & guitarist Jose Boyer -- and on Spotify.  Unlike the band's past releases, Shadow By Your Side was written under a strict deadline: Boyer, along with bassist Jose Aybar and drummer Christopher Lauderdale, booked studio time before their new songs were written, in an effort not to waste time or overthink things. The result is nine tracks that he calls "half sarcastic and half sincere," featuring jangly guitar riffs, catchy pop melodies, and luminous harmonies.   Las Rosas just kicked off a North American tour in support of their new release -- see below for upcoming dates.
